Scene Editing / Re: Need props, castles? (collaboration)

Great stuff! I can't work anything on this until monday the 30th but hopefully I will have atleast a castle set done that week.
No problem having longer or shorter pieces. I work in "the power of 2" and the textures are tileable
I will upload screens of the pieces later next week and you can tell me if you need anything else.

That's strange. Maybe they removed it in later versions? It's right there in my cRPG installation. I have uploaded it here for you: http://node23.net/stronghold_props.brf (rightclick -> save target as).

Great stuff. These meshes are aren't wasting any tris and are great for references. Now I just have to work out how to get my materials working. I'll post something next week when I get back home to my computer. Hard to work on this laptop.

Thanks for helping out!

You mean you didn't find the brf or you didn't find the proper props in it?

The .brf is in Mount&Blade Warband\Modules\cRPG\Resource folder in my installation. In it, there are some battlements and gatehouses you can take as reference.

No brf named strongholds or anything like it. I made a piece of wall yesterday and landed on 400 tris, still got nothing to compare to though

To get an idea of polycount, use openbrf and open stronghold_props.brf in your crpg/resource folder, there are some examples. They are very low poly. A few hundreds for a standard battlement.

Maybe keep a copy of the high poly count stuff as well, for people with a better machine?

cannot find anything named stronghold in there :/ Found alot of props but no castles

Thanks I will have a look at openbrf tomorrow. Hopefully someone contacted me by then so I can start working

zagibu yep that's what I meant by modular. I've done modular buildings before. Takes alot of time but atleast you guys will be able to mix it up, building your own combinations from the pieces I make.

But I need to know my limits before I start so I'm not lowering performance.

Jacko just add me on skype whenever you got time to speak [email protected]

I'm working daytime but I'm avalible on evenings UTC+01.

I really feel like making a Keep. Is there a max poly count? Could I use normal maps? Should I make it modular? Etc etc

Hi there.

I'm a Level Design student and got some time to kill this summer.
I would like to develop my 3D skills so any need of props or such I'm happy to help.
Since I don't really know how to import custom meshes to MB I would like to work together with someone.
Give me a shout if you need an extra hand!

This is a few low poly stuff I've made:
