Also roman soldiers had white tunics, not red ones. Red was used for centurions and other officiers. So i think a white tunic over mail or white mail with surcoat would be the most accurate armour possibile (but if doesn't really fit since they put the tunic under the armour, not over it :) )

Use the white lamellar armor, with the barbute

Yes, because cav needs a buff :rolleyes:

Apart from ranged weapons, that's the only time you can take down a cav that knows what he's doing. If he knows that you know about his presence he will find some other guys to rape in the back. It should stay, definitely. Game balance > Realism

I like the open maps. It's not just camping, people have been working together much more. You can't expect everyone to instantly undertake teamwork, it needs some time. Leave the open maps.

There needs to be a tournament mode that assimilates dueling. You walk around an arena/tourney type place and request duels, take place in archery/throwing competitions, join grand melees, and joust.

No one arguing pro-pike based on realism has faced this little fact: THE PIKE WASN'T EFFECTIVE BECAUSE YOU COULD JUMP-SPIN-SLASH.

That is the freaking issue at hand here. If it was fixed (removed), pikes used in formation would still be effective in crpg for the same reasons they were effective historically. If they aren't used in formation, then they won't be effective in crpg for the same reasons they wouldn't be effective historically.

Spook, the 2h animations are far superior. I'm sure they aren't perfectly balanced, but that one difference is what drives up the greatsword's cost. You can argue all day that the animations are not superior, but you'd be wrong  :|

The length of the danish is also a big advantage.
