By this logic I suggest we change the katana to 500 blunt damage but reduce the speed rating to 1.
What I'm getting at is you try to look at stuff too much with "ratio", sure in RATIO both weapons are different but as actual weapons in technical details or whatever they're pretty different.
it would be gay if weapons had to go by a certain ratio so le't say:
this weapon has 100 cut and 50 speed
so this weapon should have 50 cut and 100 speed to be equal, or something.
I'll just go the asshole way and tell you to learn to play, I can kill and do decently with a practice longsword so why you would complain about the katana is over me, implying 102 speed isn't enough to begin with for a 2 hander.

Level 30 (4 420 577 xp)

Ironflesh: 0

Horse Archery: 0
Power Draw: 0
Power Throw: 0
Weapon Master: 10
One Handed: 190
Two Handed: 1
Polearm: 1
Archery: 1
Crossbow: 1
Throwing: 1
I will wear a masterwork long dagger, which will give me 114 speed with my 36 agility.
My average dmg vs. a black armor person will be 3,5, whihc means i can kill him in 8-10 hits. faster if i thrust.
Equipment:
Masterwork long dagger (obviously)
White tunic
Straw hat
Leather gloves
Wrapping boots
So to sum it all up, at lvl 30 i will have:
Str: 3
Agi: 36
PS: 1
WM: 10
Athletics: 12
1H wpf: 190
Total gear weight: 0,75
average swing dmg vs black armor: 3,5
average thrust dmg vs black armor: 7
average swing dmg vs lammelar: 9,5
average thrust dmg vs lammelar: 16,5
Dmg is for body attacks.
Wouldn't really work, 3,5 I'm pretty sure will WHIFF over and over again on black armor and then you die, also evne if it did do any damage it would take MUCH MORE than 8-10 hits.
You also have to take into account the glove's body armor and ontop of that 35 hp is the BASE hp, that's with NO STRENGHT and NO IF.
So anyone with black armor is bound to have much more than the base 35 hp considering they need the strenght to wear the damn thing.

The biggest problem I have with the game right now is how weird it is now.
Ever since the new patch even though I have 30-40 ping, it feels like I'm playing on a constant 500 ping.
I don't know if it's me or the servers or whatever but I always phase through peoples, or delayed animations, or even SKIPPED animations, sometimes I hit a guy in idle animation and yet my attack get blocked and I fall dead to the ground while the guy just hasn't moved a single inch in my screen, I also get attacks going through my blocks WAYYY more, like every encounters it happens atleast once minimum, there's also some serious ghost reach problem, but anyway.

Maybe if you guys learnt to NOT use the EZ MODE CRUTCH PLATE you wouldn't complain so fucking much.
IN A NUTSHELL, Learn to play.
It's really simple, I top scoreboards in a 5k gold armor, you don't need 30k plate armor.
The Upkeep is specifically so there's less plate bundle of stickss running around.
