- No jump shooting (more realistic, but archers don't have much in the way of tools for fighting men coming down in them since the slots came into effect.)
- Sometimes seems like archers get the majority of nerfs while 2h spammers and polearm spammers still get to flick their poles around with lightning speed and high dmg/reach.

general:
- Upkeep of some things makes it damned near impossible to build the character you want. The upkeep on horses is crippling. Needs to be some way of controlling your upkeep expenses, either by hits taken = increase chance of dmg items, or winning excludes you from paying fees or multiplier going past x5.
- no 0 slow swords.
- chadz reminds me of George lucas sometimes.

Saw a thread for archers where pressing x could volley the arrows. I liked that idea. but if we can't have that how about pressing 'x' changes the ammo type if you're carrying 2 different loads of arrows.

It would allow players to switch their arrows for the occassion rather than the current awkward system of using one slot of arrows, then the next with less control over what they're firing at any given time.

Blame slots for every archer running away. Remove slots and I'll fight even with 1 wpf.

True that. I used to stand and fight a lot more when I could carry a half decent melee weapon. Unfortunately the general ineffectiveness of any 1 slot bow (ok, horn bow is ok, but not  a patch on rus or long bow) paired with the reduced number of arrows per quiver mean the slot restrictions force me to carry a rubbish melee weapon.

I was dressed in peasant clothes and using a crap sword and bow and still losing money.

My friend cant even maintain 13k worth of equipment.

SO SO SO SO SO hard for stf chars to get equipment.

When I joined this game what drew me to it was everyone running around in cool armour and carrying cool weapons. Now it just seems to be an exercise in budgeting and I can't have fun when I'm worrying about money all the time.

-archers didn't need nerf - arrow speed, damage too low.
- Upkeep silly high. Personally I like fighting tin cans when in light armour.
- Really need a 0 slot sword! (how about short sword?)
- Horses too slow.

+shields slower to pull up.
+ more weapons!

I decided to try out this skip the fun character business. When i hit skip the fun after rolling a new character it says i need to enter correct password. I used the password I'm using for everything else crpg related, including how I initially logged in.

Any help out there?

+1 for kopesh. I'm thinking it should be like the agi sword of choice.

Maybe make it light enough for massive stun if it gets hit by another weapon while blocking so it encourages avoiding hits rather than blocking style of play.

longbow may be a tin can killer, but whenever I'm up against a longbowman with my strongbow I'm pretty confident.

I think it's sily to nerf it so much.

Why not just reduce the bonus XP per gen after a couple of gensinstead? So everyone can get the gen 2 and an heirloom with enough effort, but if you wanted to go gen 10 you'd still need to grind the fek out of it?
