The main pressure on this game now is that by them claiming to be releasing polished combat mechanics and core gameplay, they have little room to backtrack if it doesn't go down too well or doesn't really work. They cant fall back on the usual 'it's a work in progress' because they've stated that the combat was the thing they've really focused on for this release. On the other hand, that means if they have made the combat good, it'll be really really fun to play already.

Good. I hate that about other games like LiF and Gloria Victis that you can't complain about their lagging shit of a combat system because it's "pre-alpha" for eternity apparently.

LiF's main problem isn't really the lack of scale...

Btw: what has changed? We already knew Early Access would be about those battle modes. They made a whole video about it.

but I lost some of my naivity and learned that sometimes you have to do things that are not as fun, like polishing things, if you don't want be steams laughing stock at release

Yeah, I agree. First things first: polish the shit out of the combat to get attention and then proceed with the next level. Otherwise people will say "yet another of those half-assed medieval surival games".

Good to hear.

We will also release a version with bots for our backers in the next week

Hopefully no typo... you mean week right? As in singular... :D

Will this version be any different from the one we tested before?

All these pics of crying cats makes me sad and want to hug kitties, but I can't help but think crying isn't normal for cats and they're probably suffering from some weird eye sickness.

Yep, that's what my mom's cats used to have. It's genetic with some races and they need medicin for it.

Didn't look too bad I think. The choice of music was pretty off though...

Nah, I think renaming it was an okay move. Not really necessary but not a catastrophe either...

It's basically become another game since the kickstarter campaign with the whole "epic" spiel and possibly appeals to a wider audience than just the crpg fans.

Ofc they were attached to full plate armor, lol. They even had those buttons, which were used for holding the capes in place.

This picture does at least. I don't know if it's historical... It's not something I'm used to see from either historic movies nor reenactment. I only know about those capes you put over your armor like this one

(click to show/hide)

Anyway, since the game is set in the 13th century, there are no full plate armors.

I mean it's about KINGS and men, so I guess there will be a possibility to wear capes anyways.

Why? Are kings somehow more likely to wear capes?

They were... but attached to a full plate armor like this?

Capes are shit to animate though, unless you have physics for it.
