Seems to me that two seperate maps (mirror maps or w/e) would be the better choice.  But only time will tell in testing a split map.  It's definitely pretty crowded on the current map though, so the 2-map option wouldn't be a bad idea at all.  However, not sure how much more of a headache that would be as far as coding goes.

Epic stuff Spleen. Playing game with more than 100 people on server on Brazos netbook, via Wine on Linux. You couldn't make it any more complicated than that

That's no netbook, it's my low-power "almost always on" Media PC.
btw more a proof of concept tbh... just tried it with xfce on a 40 slot battle server: 40+ fps
Guess it's just nice to know I dont have to turn on my Main Rig (Core i5 2500k/8 GB Ram/GTX 560 Ti 2 GB) to flame ppl ingame, yknow - especially for my energy bill

It actually does work wonders...
On a ridiculously under-powered system (e350 dual core 1.6 ghz, 4 gb ddr3 1333 ram - 512 mb of the ram for the onboard gpu. mainboard) that manages to run a even more ridiculous config (Ubuntu 11.04, Ubuntu Classic Session, Wine) this is actually the first time I get playable framerates - something that didnt happen with the old low-res pack.

About 15-35 fps @ 1024x768, might be better on smaller servers (thats on eu2 with 100 guys)

Now we have nerfed horseman, polearm, xbow and many more to come!! thanks to you! my new Gen was xbow now Im really lost... Some/many player liked what it is.... and you cant make Huge change in 1 go...people wont adapted so fast...as they spend so many hours playing this game. doing same reload and shoot / polearm attack timing etc...

Really.... please dont Nerf xbow...

Horseman kill all but pikeman(unexpected/skilled Cav)

Archer Own 2nder(Pro Archer) but killed by Shielder

Xbower can kill if shot hit the target (2hder or other archer/horseman) but getting owned by the reload speed itself+ many other Class can dodge a xbow with good athletic.)

HA is annoying and draw enemy attenstion away but only xbow and archer is able to kill them with skills.

Now....is not our fault many player like to become xbow and is not nice to nerf anything becuz there are too many player/skilled player using that class.

Btw that Horseman angle of attack is so narrow.... nerfing that is okie but further nerfing will make this game unplayable!

Some whiner will say ohhh those xbow need nerfing.... and becuz they dont like to play xbow(they got a choice what class they play) or some player not confident on Melee they rather snipe/xbow they choose that class.

Or some player just though...(e.g myself) had enough Cavalry HIGH repair cost. so i play xbow for abit.

Do not listern to few player whine then think ohhh xbow or whatever class is need nerf!!

It's called rock, paper and shotgun.
