Meow - I tried to use as little gold as possible but may have gotten carried away on a few models. Tell me which models you noticed texture misplacement.

rustyspoon - haha! Yeah I noticed those "side effects" as well! I have found myself running away from a x3 when usually I'd braveheart it

vibe - Ya vol, mein fuhrer!

panpan - Bows will come right after I'm done with the 2h (or possibly at the same time :)

Fasader - Doh! I'll fix that asap!

Zapper - I wonder if the lack of LOD models is the cause... What quality settings are you running at? When I get home tonight I'll make a custom pack for you and hopefully that will fix it

Phew!! So this took way longer than I had anticipated!

Ok! Models for all the 1 handed weapons and their scabbards (460 models total) are finally done!

How to Install:
- put "finalboss_1h.brf" in "modules/crpg/resource" folder
- put the textures in "crpg/textures"
- Make a backup copy of "crpg/item_kinds1.txt" and paste the new one from the .zip
- edit "crpg/module.ini" and add the line "load_mod_resource = finalboss_1h" right below the line "load_mod_resource = kazakh_armor"
- report back!

I was planning on making a few of these myself but you beat me to it! I'd also like to see more heraldic armor in-game. Maybe the lighter heraldic armor could be dirtier or something?

Uhm..is this intended? (Notice it's an AXE! Also, in 2h mode it still looks like an axe (the weapon icon, that is), unlike in one hand)

It's the magic level 16 falchion axe, duh.

Thanks for spotting that earthdforce, I also found the nordic_sword & nordic_short_sword were the wrong models but they're fixed now too :)

I like this idea as well but it's kind of a useless skill if it only makes placing siege equipment faster.

Upkeep on ladders seems like an okay idea to reduce spam but I'm not really a fan of how upkeep works atm (randomly choosing equipment to repair).

Why did we decide to make ladders sheath-able? I thought that really helped with spam and made a lot more sense when they weren't?

I agree with everything said, the composition is great and the horizontal image works with the loading bar, I'm just not a fan of the border but that's just me!

Please excuse me for butchering your artwork kajia, (and please don't take offense) I'm just providing you with alternative ideas and I'm a very visual person.

You could do something like having the guy on the side looking at the screen instead, like so:

New textures will replace old ones. My aim is to only have a maximum of 10 new textures which won't be too bad.

Kajia, I love the detail in that first pic! Will make for an excellent home screen :)

2nd pic is a bit too white! maybe darken up the background shadows a bit to break up all the white?

3rd picture, love it. I don't know about the surrounding black borders though. Would "a view from inside a helmet" look stupid?

Bad news everyone

I've decided to re-do pretty much all the model textures for the 1h. I'm just not very happy with the way most of the swords turned out (they all pretty much looked like "sword" below). I plan to add a lot more ethnicity to the rune/design patterns so they should all end up looking a LOT better. It will just take a little longer...

Here are a couple models I feel alright showing. Let me know what you like and don't like.

Also, I've been in talks with a few admins and it sounds like this will be happening whenever I get these done  :wink:

If anyone's curious enough, here's a zip file with ALL of the one handed .brf, models and textures (no LODs or new scabbards).

And if anyone actually wants to test these out in-game:

After that you should be all set! BE WARNED: I haven't made the LODs yet so this could cause an FPS drop.

So I said I'd have an update by the end of the month but it turns out I had a few more things to finish. Hopefully I'll have all the one handed weapons done in a big gallery for you guys to look at and critique by the end of the week! :)
