i suggested this a while ago. Maybe not all weapons should be in this as it would just lead to archers using them again. I suggest maybe only some weapons such as pikes or lances.

But if the polearms/2h weapons are unsheathable, then archers will have to drop them when switching to the bow. If they want to re-equip those weapons, they will have to remain in a pretty close proximity.

I am definitely for this suggestion and more polearms and 2h should be flagged unsheathable.

It was worth a watch. I particularly like the part with guy demonstrating running in his custom plate harness while halfswording, very cool.

I suggested directional shield blocks in warband beta. Taleworlds did not like it.
I doubt that what the OP suggests can be implemented within the module system.

That's too bad; I'd really prefer directional shield blocking. It would kind of suck though, unless the shield counted as a solid physical object against melee weapons. That way, blocking to the left with a large shield would also somewhat block overheads and thrusts, but be vulnerable to attack coming from the right.

Even better would be if the non-blocking shield animation had the arm raised up a bit, so that attacks would still be blocked when "dropping" the shield. Back peddling speed would need to be reduced as well.

didnt you post about having INT and CHAR skills before?? and any way if you cap the level at 20 peoples builds wont even be half done and its almost as if your making them retire just so they can finish their build...

(INT/CHA) Yeah, but so have many people.

Their builds wouldn't be half done compared to current builds, but this new way would create different expectations for what a finished build is.

If you said two handed swords weighed usually between 3 to 6 pounds (6 pounds for a huge sword), you couldn't be more right.

But, one thing. Full plated knights were super OP in real life. They can't be in game.

Yeah I was just covering my ass if someone came up with some obscure example of a 10 pound two-handed combat sword.

I think full plated knights should be in game (for the right cost; perhaps gold cost in a purely "pub" context, perhaps some complex strategus economic simulation otherwise), and that the D20 conceptions of classes and balance should be erased from this mod because mount and blade is its own game with its own niche.
