I mean I will suffer less damage but won't ever catch him...
To chase archers, what you can do is run at them, and when it looks like they're about to release their arrow (or bolt, or whatever) spin around in the air. I haven't put this into practice yet, but it sounds promising and hilarious.

The formula is the shield's resistance stat + 10 that gets added to your body armor when a ranged projectile hits the correct area. So if you had 60 body armor with a hide covered round shield (0 shield skill), you would have an effective 91 body armor against projectiles that hit your back.
No, this isn't overpowered. I've tried it out at Farmer Bob's suggestion and while it's hiliarious with 75 body armor (106 effective versus ranged when hit in back) it's not game breaking. Good ranged will shoot my legs or head for massive damage, and if I actually try to use the shield it'll get 3 shot.
On a side note, the great lance and jousting lance count as ranged projectiles (ask Tydeus for details) due to how they were coded. I'll test it out in battle and report my findings.

« on: June 25, 2014, 11:47:11 pm »While it is obviously the responsibility of a contestant to make an appearance, there was a request to post contact information so that the tournament admins could contact the contestants, or that is what I assume they wanted their contact information for. I know Tristan of Erzoth signed up for the tournament and was completely unaware it had even happened by round 3, which was days after it began. Other such as Knightmare and Firebus were also unaware of when the tournament was suppose to be. Tristan himself told me he was waiting for the admins to contact him about the tournament and I'm wondering how many others missed due to the same reason.

however in BoB at SL200 SM 5mill, the tryhards builds are uber stong due to way game is so unbalanced at this level. everyone has poison moss, which is same effect to me as chugging but not punishable.
plus when I get hit once I die in many cases, due to stun lock and OP damage with infused/buff weapons. also wr
so yeah pure dex in BoB not viable, would have to respec to an OP build to even win anything here.but I just want the eyes to invade
