General Discussion / Re: "The Artie Build" - Post-Patch

As much as I would enjoy that I'm perfectly comfortable with just our item balancing team having it.  I feel like with everyone having that it takes a little mystery out of the game and could be used to constantly complain which God knows we have enough of as is.  :?

I'm sure they are!  It's never a quick process with things like these they could come back 7 months after the fact so I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to post your interests.

Seeing how that works weirdly makes me feel better about item balancing

When I read the first post and I read the last few posts I was very confused how the thread got to where it is now...haha

Staying slightly on task, finding someone or a group of people to do this would be the hardest part of it.

mod has cancer and is dying, get over it. We won't get newbies, just enjoy it while you can.

Was checking out the members list and it looks like on the forums alone we've had 59 new members this month (The past 15 days) I guess if you consider the form that Crpg was once in it may seem like it's dying, but maybe it's just hibernating.

Might I offer another suggestion?

You be the beacon of hope that Crpg needs the one brave soldier to lead the army of light back to our community!

Your ping is just such a fickle mistress, It could be anything that's effecting it.  If you have too much coaxial cable around your router and modem it can cause it,  if you have a long ethernet cord it can effect it, there's so many variables it's pretty hard to narrow it down to one specific thing.  I would try some of the quick easy fixes first before you go looking server side.

Also we are all friends here no need for money if someone has the knowledge I'm sure they would be fine helping you for free  :D

Definitely crafty, but definitely scumbag.  I feel like this falls under the category of exploitation.

Glitching is allowed, being an asshat isn't
OK: hiding (e.g. in the hay)
NOT OK: hiding when last man standing (i.e. delaying)
NOT OK: using a siege shield to reach a roof that can't be reached normally
NOT OK: camping unreachable places
NOT OK: exploiting invisible barriers
NOT OK: going out of map bounds (if you can see unfinished parts of the map, then you should not be there)
NOT OK: ladderpulting

Taken straight from the rules

Just seems like a grey area solved by a quick change of the rules.  If you are caught then there will be necessary repercussions.

You could try to make sure you have the most up to date drivers for the graphics card, and make sure you install the game with those drivers already.

Are you getting a specific error when you try the Crpg launcher?

Not sure if there's a definite science like there is to other things involving the shield, but in my experience the difference between 6 and 9 is vast; both in the 24% reduced damage you would be taking to your shield and also the force field that supposedly grows larger each point.

Removing gen xp bonus and making double xp permanent for everyone seems like the best solution.

As far as I'm concerned thinking about this by myself seemed like a daunting task.  The fact that even if I did come up with some fantastic idea to fix everything it wouldn't matter anyway because I don't have the power to do it.  Who is to say that this is a waste of time if it actually leads to something.  Everything good starts out crazy

At this point I feel as though anything is better than what we have currently, there needs to be some changes.  I know we all have ideas, but pushing for a change no matter what the change is an important first step.  It's like AA first we have to admit that we have a problem
