When you launch the game, go to configure settings.

Make sure you have "load textures on demand" set to OFF.

Given the individuality that cRPG allows players, all the armors and shit tend to fuck your game up.

You'll have a slower loading time on startup, but at least it'll be smoother gameplay.

It didn't helped me, loading time is longer when entering server  :? , but i still spawned 15-20 seconds latter then my teammates. I was on teamspeak so the time is confirmed.
And of course i was lanced, because it was my archer alt, and i didn't have time to switch weapons for block.
I will try to install low res texture pack, even though its outdated, and see what happens :?: .

General Discussion / Lag on start of the round

Since the last patch i have huge lags on start of the round, after the first 20 seconds it all goes back to normal.
Ping is 30-40, and FPS is around 70, after the lag.
That means that im 20 sec late in spawn, and in some maps it means arrow or two in my face  :twisted:, and i have been accused of leeching.

I had more metal sounds mod,  low res texture pack, and one other performance boosting mod (don't remember which one ).

So, if someone could tell me what changed in last patch, and can i use low res texture pack with latest patch or suggest some other performance mod.

Its not about plains , its about the size of this maps.
Before when i saw random plains i would quit or spectate, it was to boring for my style of play, but lately there are new plains, smaller in size and with less chances to camp one spot( hills ).
So players are forced to fight rather then staying behind shield wall and waiting for last minutes to do something.
I would vote  for random plains , but only if there size is smaller.

This topic is not about dodging, its about inability to hurt ranged on roofs, and game play as melee.
It is possible to play pure melee, but really annoying when only thing you can do is run around houses and wait for ranged to get down ( and that  never happens ).
And that is the main point, you have to put points in PT( or crossbow ), and make a hybrid, or dig yourself a grave at the end of the round.

Its not about plate or damage from ranged weapons, its about the number of this type of players and projectiles flying around. As a 2h or polearm without shield, its impossible to enjoy this game as it is now. I dont mind getting killed by ranged  :twisted: , but interruptions in melee fight or not being able to get out of the cover is the main problem.

Aim for groups of people with spears get lucky hits.
 

That is the main problem with throwing, when two sides meet and real fight starts, its just comes down to luck for melee in  main fight to survive first throwers. This forces people to use shields, and automatically unbalances  the game.

Great fight  :D :D , and great filling to kill an ogre with pitchfork  :evil:

Maybe for next time it could be a bit more organized with all peasants in group attacking ogre lair, or some other theme.
