« on: May 17, 2014, 09:13:24 am »Really, the worst part about all of it is that night time settings. I think we should have mandatory night times in our respective hemispheres, which funnel all of the battles into prime time.
Except, no. Not everyone is able to play primetime. My prime playing hours are from 8 AM - 12 PM PST, its shit enough not being able to get any battles during that hour but if someone were to attack me, id be fucked because i cant possibly be present at my own battle if it was forced into prime time.

I like the idea, but so far the execution is lacking. Ever tried fighting big ass giant sieges with shittons of people in small spaces? Thats what boarding battles is like. Unfortunately thats a warband engine problem, the AI tend to clump up and use the same path. The deck guns are awesome but unless you're playing ships of the same size the angle is horrible.
The ship combat is lacking. If you have played Pirates! or even the naval battles in Empire total war, you will be disappointed in this one. The controls are sluggish and unresponsive. The UI for naval battles is terrible as well.
I realize its alpha, but they have stated they are around 70% complete. This looks more along the lines of 30-40% to me.

I want WW1 COD, WW2 COD, Vietnam COD, Korean War COD hell even USA invading Iraq/Afghanistan COD but bit tired of these futuristic CODs/Battlefield/Planetside/Titanfall etc..
I agree. I'm getting tired of the "future war" type games. I love WW2 shooters, and really there is a lot of ground that a shooter could cover from WW2 till present day that doesn't really need to be "future war".

The siege for the castle is ON! Tomorrow at 1:01 PST (4:01 EST) the siege is happening for all you midday c-rpgers! 5k silver for the best overall merc, 2k each for the best EU/NA merc (not counting #1 spot)
