Suggestions Corner / Re: Heirlooms and a chance of permadeath.

Well I would guess it means post 31 characters to force retirement and loosen up the market price wise by having more people heirlooming on a regular basis.

Can't say for sure because no one has experienced it first hand and their note about it was just that, a note.

chadz and friends are probably having a good laugh at everyone today over that one sentence.

After playing some more I honestly believe there is a problem with the chance of repair in the patch, the patch notes state that it was lowered slightly but on the contrary it procs much much more often now.

With the following set up I have lost money over 10 or so rounds by about 1k gold. Morningstar, Nordic Fighters Helm, Light Kuyak,  Rus Calvary Boots, Leather Gloves. Which is 15,889 in total cost for the out fit, so to loose money on that sort of set up there is obviously something wrong.

is the speed rating for throwing or melee mode?

I am not 100% but in game it looks like the speed rating applies to the wind up of the throw and also for melee mode but the velocity or whatever in mid air is the missle speed.

so yes?

Gonna have to agree on the Bec de Corbin being too fast, of course this was obvious previous to the patch.

General Off Topic / Hello

Hi everyone just introducing myself, sorry for the extra thread but didn't see any place for it.

Loving cRPG so far, my bud Draggon got me in on it as well as a bunch of folks from the Snowhawk Clan. We are pretty much all about siege and many of us own warband so you will probably be seeing more and more SHC tags on the servers. Anyways not much to say about me I enjoy stuff dislike other stuff and love video games.

Well that about raps it up, cheers see you in game.

Just as an example a regular morningstar went from 330~ to 550~ and the top end 2 handers are around 1600 per repair, just double that for the top chest armor. Even x5 wont cover that in a round if all of your gear breaks, however for top gear that is expected I'd imagine.

Seems to me like they need to scale the repair % on items based on cost tiers. Would solve a lot of issues for those who play in a median armor/weapon tier range while still keeping upper to top end armor/weapons upkeep so expensive that players will always loose money regardless of multiplier.

cut damage nerfed into the ground and polearms still as dumb as ever, lost ten grand in two hours wearing 60k equip, welp i'm probably gonna GTX crpg

I laugh when you kill me, don't quit.

Sorry if this is the wrong place for this.

Seems to me a flat % repair on items is not the only way or best, scaling the percentage seems like it would be a better solution. Higher % repair cost for top end gear and lower % on low end gear would be more fitting to the game. Lets people roll in mid to lower tier without shrinking their bank while it keeps people out of the top gear most of the time.

What does:

"- added random chance of permanent death for old characters"

mean?

Would like to know as well, please clarify as it really could be taken many different ways as we see in the responses to this thread.

Yes yes they are, I'm glad throwers are back. Although agree with the opinions about the slot changes being un-needed for players to consider those weapons useful. I am new to crpg but was always a happy thrower in native.

Um the NA siege server is pretty much 90% throw/shield spec now.
