Go with Digglez' build. 5 PS with a 1h is useless and 160 wpf in 1h is a waste. If you must go 15/21 and want to go 1h/xbow put at least 150 in xbow.

I currently have 7ps, 73wpf in 1h and I have no problems (with decent footwork) keeping up with dedicated 1h builds.

One hand weapons are fast enough that you don't need loads of wpf as a hybrid.

Again though, if you want one hand weapons to be your focus you should use the 21/15 build Digglez provided. It really is the perfect build for new players.

Yeah, I'm really missing the ATS map pack now. I've had enough of Random Steppe and Random Village C. It'd be fantastic if at least some of the ATS maps were integrated.

You need to increase your 1h WPF. Be warned though; when using a 2h sword in 1h mode it's damage output/speed are significantly reduced.

Hey, so I'm usually a turtle or 1h cav. This gen I'm going with a HA/1h build (which I'm having so much fun with I might stay with it). My question is; if running off a 18/18 build, how much wpf should I put into 1h to be most effective?

Agreed. These high upkeep costs only really hurt new players. It only furthers the gear gap, of say, someone who is Gen1-5 and someone who is Gen10-30. Players with high gens will barely feel repair costs which are relatively low when you're a millionaire. New players, or those with a moderate amount of gold, are being pushed into a lower tier of equipment.

Kind of off topic, but:
It's the same thing with the retirement experience nerf. It's really the newer players that suffer. Who cares if someone who's Gen 30, with a full set of +3 gear, can retire ultra quick and get more heirlooms? The experience nerf only widens the gap between the newer players and the vets. While vet players ought to feel like the time they invested gives them a slight edge over the competition it becomes quite ridiculous when newer players can no longer hope to amass the same gear at the same pace the vet players did.
