The 2 biggest German clubs, Bayern München and Borrusia Dortmund, look the same.

That's just plain wrong.

Dortmund: Weidenfeller, Hummels, Schmelzer, Durm, Bender, Kehl, Großkreutz, Reus, Gündogan (if healthy)
München: Neuer, Lahm, Boateng, Kroos, Schweinsteiger, Müller, Götze, Badstuber (if healthy)

These players are all starters or at least top reserves.

Manchester City: Hart, Milner

Am I the only one who is disappointed by the lack of support of the Brazilians? No singing, no chanting not even some good insults - just shaping stupid hearts to the camera and hysterical screaming when Neymar touches the ball. Those Mexicans surely made a lot more noise .
To be fair at least it isn't annoying like those trumpets from hell (Vuvuzelas).

I don't recommend. If you wanna read, read from start.

This. If you do not start with the first book you will be overwhelmed by the sheer amount of characters (over 1200 named characters). Also the show has diverged quite a bit from the books - some characters are even living at the end of book 5 which are already dead in the show.

I never get it why some book readers feel the need to nitpick about every detail in the show that differs from the books.

My favourites are in this order Brazil, Spain, Argentina

Sadly Germany will probably not play a big role in this tournament. They have problems at too many positions.

Goalkeeper: Neuer has a shoulder injury and may not be able to recover in time. Weidenfeller though is a pretty good backup.
Centre Back: Hummels, Boateng, Mertesacker - no problems here
Right-Back: Lahm probaly will play in midfield so Großkreutz will play - solid player but nothing spectacular
Left-Back: Probably Schmelzer - probably the weakest link in the German team. He just lacks quality.
Defensive Midfield: Schweinsteiger and Khedira both had knee injuries and probably won't be any near their normal form. Lahm is also lightly injured. Lars Bender won't be able to play at the world cup. That leaves Kroos as the only fit player at that position. Huge problems.
Offensive Midfield: Lots of quality options and tremendous depth: Özil, Reus, Müller, Götze, Schürrle, Podolski
Forward: an aging Klose (36years old) and a tottally inexperienced Volland. I guess they will just play without a real striker.

If you want to read AFFC and ADWD again I strongly recommend to read the chapters in chronological order. I think this is the right way to read because GRRM orinally did not plan to split up the books geograpically but had to because the book was getting to long.

Here is the proposed order: http://boiledleather.com/post/25902554148/a-new-reader-friendly-combined-reading-order-for-a

The books are as clear about who killed Jon Arryn as the series. Reread the last Sansa chapter of ASOS (easily on of the best chapters in all five books combined).

I'm sure the ending was discussed with GRRM. No way they would put that in without speaking with him.

I agree but it's always helpful if you are a litlle more specific about your spoiler. You do that like this (obviously I erased the [])
spoiler=Book 5 spoiler
