cRPG Technical problems / Incorrect authorization key?!?!
« on: April 06, 2011, 08:51:40 am »
Wtf is going on right now on the NA siege server(ats server i think)... i just played on that server a few minutes ago and now im getting this whenever i tried on reconnecting to it...

Swords for more strength builds, axes/etc for more agility heavy builds.

Then it is whatever you have the most preference with. If you want to see what sword is better for heirlooming, check out the itemized heirloom list that is stickied in the top of this section.

thnx for the tipz regarding strength & agility builds..

and i already did checked the heirlooom section for the weapons i'm comparing... and sometimes numbers aren't enough when comparing things, which is other people's experience from using that item also helps in your own decision on which item to choose....

Well right now i'm thinking of playing as a specialist for a change since im sick of using polearms/2handers in MP native & SP, so i'm leaning towards either a pick or a hammer... Based from reading other threads around here, either pick or hammer works as long as you got good footwork..

Which also increases the chances that the nerf bat will come down hard on it. Beware!

Overall though, if you were looking for a "best" sword I would go for the Long Espada. However, the Italian sword is also pretty good and costs way the hell less.

Anyways i'm staying away from the top tier 1handers(long espada, steel pick, warhammer, especially sidesword) at the moment since i don't want to spend alot of time on a weapon that will just gonna get nerfed... So right now i'm choosing which tier 2/tier 3 1handers to use for a long time...

If you were given the option to choose between the 3, which one would you go all the way up to 3x heirloom: sarranid cavalry sword, sarranid guard sword, or long arming sword??
These were the swords i considered when i  was sword shopping... The cav sword won over me initially coz its the longest of the 3, even though its the slowest of the 3... And today i'm wondering if i made the right selection coz it seems that the guard sword would have been a better choice for my planned agile 1 hander...

And i got another question, is the knockdown chance percentage the same for all weapons(whether 1hander or 2 hander) that has it???

My current build atm @ lvl24 for gen 1
Strength 15
Agility   15

One Handed 69
Polearm   43
Crossbow 122(which i regret spending)

2 converted skill points
Ironflesh   1
Power Strike   5
Shield   5
Athletics   5
Riding   0
Horse Archery   0
Power Draw   0
Power Throw   0
Weapon master *   5

my plan is to likely go 15/21 and pump shield & athletics to be a fast 1hander with a durable shield.... And my current set-up is

a mail mittens, saranid mail boots, shahi, haubergeon, 2 shields(the expensive norman shield on front & leather round on back),

pike, sarranid cav sword, hammer..

I like using swords because of good swing speeds and long reach that allows me to go 1 on 1 against a 2hander..

I don't have much experience using picks since i never used them when i played native mp.. But what got me to consider them is

because its damage is a piercing damage which works wonder against tincans that are currently the majority in crpg..

And regarding hammers, what i liked about them is they have the ability to knock down people.. I just wish that i have a better

reach in order kill my target after knocking em down..  Ever since i started using the hammer, i have never gone back to using my

cav sword... I find this weapon lowers the rate of FF and accidental tk currently due to obviously small reach.. I also find hammers good as a support infantry, with you knocking down your opponent to allow your teammate to finish off your opponent...

Like the topic says, i'm wondering which 1 hander to get that suits my planned build... And btw, i only play siege in crpg at the

moment coz i needed to built up some cash...

And should i go 21/15 and continue pumping into strength instead of agility??? I'm wondering if having more strength is going to

be helpful for a 1h considering that polearm & most 2h outreaches 1h's and does more damage than 1h's..

Any insights are greatly appreciated...

Beginner's Help and Guides / Re: Post Your Character Builds
« on: March 23, 2011, 09:04:04 am »
1st gen user:
currently Age37 & lvl 22

Strength   15
Agility   12
One Handed   1
Two Handed   1
Polearm   43
Archery   1
Crossbow    122(my mistake on putting alot of points here... well since this is my first time, no much of a big deal.. And i'm using regular xbox right now, my most expensive to upkeep)
Throwing   1

Ironflesh   1
Power Strike   5
Shield   0
Athletics   4
Riding   0
Horse Archery   0
Power Draw   0
Power Throw   0
Weapon master *   4

My plan is to be a infantry based character with a LHSM or glaive as a sidearm on a 21/15 setup.... I haven't decided yet whether to go 1h+shield or 2h since im not familiar with some of the weapons not from native settings..

Anyways i also have several questions:

1) What conditions do i need in order to get a broken "weapon" or broken "shield???

2) How does the CRPG determines what equipment to repair??? And how does CRPG also determines how much the "chosen" equipment to repair??

3) When planning on heirlooming an item for a first gen user, which one you guys consider:  upkeep costs(the cost-efficiency of a weapon) or the deadliness of a weapon(the strongest and most expensive you can buy)??

4) And which of the 1hander(Military Cleaver, Sarranid Cavalry Sword, Knightly Arming Sword, Fighting Axe, Long Espada, or Sarranid Guard Sword) & 2hander(War Cleaver, Heavy Bastard Sword, Katana, Great Maul) would you consider for heirlooming for a first gen user??    I'm leaning towards the cost-efficiency method and possible of being nerf-proof for awhile, which is why these are the weapons i have considered getting and I want to hear everyone's opinions from each weapon..
