General Discussion / Re: Ban polls
« on: September 29, 2011, 05:58:25 pm »
My 2 ideas (probably often suggested elsewhere):

1. Server should auto-enable polls at round start and disable them after x seconds round time (x 30-60 i would think)

This would keep polls to the beginning of battle, so they aren't that disturbing and the chance that people actually look at it before pressing 1 or 2 is higher. Therefor the results should be less random.

2. Add the possibility to add a reason to the poll which will be sent by the server.

Right now i mostly see dead people starting polls (e.g. because they just got tk'ed) and so only other dead guys can see the reason (if they give any). If the reason was sent via server message/something like that everyone could see the reason and again that should make results less random. Although a "dead to living message channel" for everyone might be abused.

Wtf, this is not the right forum or site for such things. There are sites where you find pirated software and sites, which you dont want to be associated with piracy. c-rpg.net is one of the latter.

I personally did a proper Bootcamp.
Translation: I installed Windoze on my Mac.

Suggestions Corner / Re: Making alts more viable again

But "alt time" = "fun time" and "fun time" != "wasted time", so "alt time" != "wasted time" (as "=" is obviously transitive). Unless someone would think that "fun time" = "wasted time", but what would he/she do in an online game forum then?

I wanna add another 100k.

here is a protip, grab a pike, stab his horse, aint nothing any cav can do about that.

But if you aim your pike a tad too high (aim at the head/neck) he can activate his "horcefield" (downblock/shield) and run away unharmed and laughing about you.

The rest of that post is true though.

Before us he already killed 2 and i think also one after me. But this should be enough for a ban.

Yes.

Yes, you can take a longbow or a warbow, but then you wont have any arrows as they are 2 slots too. If you take one of the higher xbows, you will have exactly one shot, which is better than 0, but still pretty useless.

"upgrading" your armor/weapons is called heirlooming, you can do it by retiring after you have reached level 31.

I think you should use a pike once and see how it's being held. Then you'd see that your argument is pretty much invalid. Just a suggestion ...

Beginner's Help and Guides / Re: How works the exp?
« on: June 01, 2011, 06:03:14 pm »
No, you should read what i wrote:
1st tick after 30 seconds
2nd tick after 1 minute
3rd tick 2 minutes
4th tick 3 minutes
.
.
.

And killing/damaging enemies/their horses or keeping them busy helps your team winning, which increases your multiplier. So you don't have to kill anyone, but contributing to your teams work will help you get your exp faster.

You get 'multiplier*((generation-1)*0.03+1)*1000' exp per 'tick'.
The first 'tick' is after 30 seconds, then after another 30 seconds and then every minute i think.

Have you tried it in wine?

Seems even the mouse bug got fixed in the latest wine versions:
http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=20604

Should run a lot smoother then in a virtual machine if it works correctly.

General Discussion / Re: Whats with nighttime maps?
« on: May 20, 2011, 08:38:04 pm »
The time doesnt change for me in my profile if I put -6, nor does it change during game as in night/day cycle.

The time offset you set in your settings is just for the forum and has nothing to do with the ingame time, which is determined by the server.

Would be nice to know how long ingame days and nights are though.
