Thanks! So according to that thread, a fully heirloomed warhammer has + 2 speed, + 5 blunt, + 3 pierce, but makes no mention of weight.

Can someone clarify once and for all whether an heirloomed warhammer increases or decreases in speed?

Everytime I ask someone, I get a different answer.  Ive heard it loses speed, gains speed, and even stays the same.

I think its a great weapon and a fun change from my sword to go around thumping people, but Im not sure if it would be worth it to heirloom if it loses speed.  It already does enough damage, and the added weight would only increase knockdown percentage slightly.  Its not like heirlooming other hammer type weapons where you're doing it for crushthrough.

I think upkeep should be increased, especially for the plate gear.

People are accumulating alot of money now and there's and increase of people in full plate with plated chargers. 

There's some guys that every time I see them they have black armour or a plated charger.

I was gonna make a polarm / 1 h char for cav.  How much do I need to invest into 1h wpf?

I'm assuming most would go into polearm and 70-100 in 1h?

Wait did they just nerf the great maul in the latest patch cuz I was playing with it yesterday and it seemed to do fine.

Was making a balanced 2 hander either 18/18 or 21/15, switching between a great maul and bastard sword or war cleaver.  Lure the shielders in with my sword then quick switch and loloverhead smash!!

I'm refraining from going barmace, cuz I had a feeling they were going to nerf that, but the great maul you cant really use all the time as its not versatile enough so you have to bring 2 weapons.

Well cav are supposed to use their mobility to get kills.  The thing is, most of these maps are made for the old xp system when everyone had to bunch up together.  There's just no room for cav on these maps as there's maybe only 2 ways you can go, and both are narrow and jam packed with polearms.

Last night when we played on an open map, cav was still top of the scoreboards on each team.  These guys actually knew how to use cav properly though, choosing their targets wisely and not just running people over blindly like before.

Problem is, there are not enough of these open maps for cav to make use of their mobility.

Yep, arhcers are supposed to keep 2 handers in check.  You can still take a low or no req shield as a 2 hander, but you shouldnt be able to run around so freely without a shield.

I think archers needed this buff a bit.  They were hardly noticable before, and even now much less than in native. 

There has to be a balance between the 3 classes and not just have everything stacked in favor of melee.

I think with the cav nerf it will affect them the most as they make the easiest targets for archers.

BTW its easy to approach an archer.  Just run at him, when he draws and is about to shoot, raise your shield and do a side step (which will often make him miss) then drop your shield and run at him again.  The annimation is still much slower than native.
