Also talking about J-gaze, we could not exclude Yellow Loveless. I'll drop my fav from it.
Goosebumps, every single time.

(click to show/hide)
A classic
Some nu-school
Some russian stuff too.
This is kinda fucked up stuff, depresses me any time I listen to it, but it's beautiful.
This has been my newest favorite track. It is utterly beautiful, hits you in the head, and the lyrics match the atmosphere of the music perfectly. I recommend this EP to every shoegaze lover out there.
Can't exclude the true classics either.
I felt like the blue-haired girl in this shot. I recommend everyone to catch Slowdive live while you still can, it was hands down the best concert I've ever been to, and I've been to plenty. Never ever before have I cried watching a live act, but Slowdive got me. I had a big fucking ear-to-ear smile on, and I was crying like a baby. Even now as I'm typing I have tears in my eyes, as I think of it.
I put everything in spoilers, cause I posted shitloads of links. Although, if you won't listen to all fo it, at least go for the slowdive track. It will fucking B LOW your mind.
Also, WITCH, Angelic Process, RIP fokken Chris Angylus ;_; Weighing Souls With Sand is a beautiful record.
Listen to Carboniferous and read Wikipedia articles about the Carboniferous period of earth's history. The planet's lungs had exhaled over the millennia and there was 150% of our oxygen, 300% of our carbon dioxide, in the air. Land was choked with impossibly thick forests, dragonflies the size of hawks, and hundred mile thunderstorms to rival those on Venus. There was enough oxygen in the air that lightning bolts would cause the air to explode when it struck. The oceans were inhabited by aquatic scorpions nearly 3 feet long. The planet was owned by spineless creatures sheathed in thick shells. Amphibians shaped like (and acting like) crocodiles ambushed dog-sized insects on the shoreline. Millipedes were the size and weight of a car. This album is the sound of a lost world, filled with completely alien creatures.
Fucking Zu, maan. I saw them once in a small club in my hometown, and Pándi Balázs played the drums for them, the guy who usually tours with Merzbow. It was fucking awesome.
If you like Zu, youmight find this band Pneu interesting, too. Check their album called Highway to Health. Not really the same kind as Carboniferus, biut somehow these two records always get me in the same state of mind.
For many many years now, this album has been one of my favourites. It stands very close to my heart. The haunting lyrics of Ian Curtis always give me goosebumps. This album cover might be a part of every teenage girl's tumblr, or it might be the cover photo of self-diagnosed biploar teens, but STILL it is one of the very best.
Probably take over the universe with my dick And I can see the secrets through my eyelids Even if they closed, nigga fuck it though A language that these people will never know A plant from the fucking ground you could never grow But nigga, you best pick up your phone Cause you don't wanna be here when the world's gone --- (Klatuu, Verata-) I cast a spell without a magic kit That Phoenix Down, take a bow, then reveal the torniquet Man, I'm babbling for money (man I'm traveling for money) Man I'm in Japan laughing cause they bathrooms is funny Like a bidet named Toto Chilling in the Shire smokin' on that fire Frodo ---
