Looking through the source for the damage calculator, I believe there is a substantial random factor:Code: [Select]// Urist:

max_damage = max_damage * ( 1 - 0.5 * arm / 100.0 * reduction_factor );
Assuming this is correct, it would be nice if this could be removed. Random factors are always bad.
So basically what you're doing is bashing eachother's armor with ineffective weapons? What I'm trying to say in a roundabout way is that you're roleplaying just as much as the LARPers and padded weapon users, don't fool yourself.

Ye, AoC Combat was crap, animations sucked and everybody moved like they were sliding on the ground or something.AoC combat was great imo.
