General Discussion / Re: How to increase blood?

More blood would be nice. And gore. A lack of limbs too (decapitations are nice).

Lorne's character has pink hair, no?

If so then OP's arguements are invalide.

As others have said: FIGHT WITH YOUR EARS! Only counter attack when you've heard the sound of their weapon hitting your sheild "Thunk!"

When fighting with a sheild, especially if your opponent also has a sheild, try to avoid falling into the back-and-forth rhythem of "swing, block, swing, block". If you find yourself and your opponent in such a situation, where you are evenly trading blows back and forth, then do something to throw off that rhythem. Instead of swinging once at them, swing twice in a row very quickly. Instead of attacking after you block, simply pause for a moment, THEN attack. Generally your opponent will continue with the previous "rhythem" of the fight, and will be caught unawares by any changes.

And don'g forget to use overhead and stab! Overhead always gets 'em.

IM GOING for a cavalry build. I eventually plan on buying a horse (courser), and EVENTUALLY will use:
A lance of some sort (for cavalry work)
A bec de homosexuality (or some other polearm for ground work)
A cavalry sheild (knightly heater?)

I plan on putting most of my points into agility for riding. Once I get a good riding (6?) and weapon master number, it's back to strength until 18 (max, perhaps 16 will do).

ANY SUGGESTIONS? I'VE NEVER DONE A CAVALRY BUILD BEFORE!

Great server! It lagged a little a couple time, but otherwise it was fine.

There appears to be a password or something up right now. I can't join it. Perhaps it's in the process of being moved. Regardless, I should sleep

General Discussion / Re: Which polearm?
« on: January 05, 2011, 11:20:44 pm »
Go for the pike if you wanna rape cavalry. It's funny, I'm putting all wpf into polearms in order to *eventually* go cavalry. Until then I fight on foot with spear and sheild. Yet I find myself killing lots of cavalry! I love picking up pikes: they rape horses heartily, and are also good if you have teammates around.

If you JUST want a polearm to kill ponies use a pike. If not, then any old spear will work. Even a pitchfork can be effective. Be careful though, for most cavalry (as Kale said) use heavy lances or something with good range. I still say pike ftw... Actually, ima go buy one now :D

General Discussion / Re: Repair costs (equation)?
« on: January 05, 2011, 06:49:58 am »
I don't really understand the whole "repair cost" thing. I've never played as a tank-type character (I've switched builds frequently, and deleted alot of characters. I'm also newish to this), yet I've managed to have alot of fun playing regardless.

I've never bemoaned the existance of tincans. So what, they played more than me and have more armor and shit? I still found the game fun. What is the purpose of repair costs? What does it possibly do to make the game more fun? How does making their internet-lives more difficult make this game more fun for me (or them)? I doesn't understand  :(

This is almost a non issue for me atm, btw. I'm low level, with only a gambeson, helmet, boar spear, and sheild. It's not like I'm a sneaky tank-lover of some sort who only looks out for himself.

Alas I am rather unimportant and have almost no influence on what happens in the world of cRPG.
