General Discussion / Remembering Exitialis the Spammitalis
« on: May 02, 2017, 01:11:22 pm »
I know, I'm a legend. I now grace you with my godly presence to let us rejoice in past glories and conquests. I remember, when I butchered half the population of EU1, 2, and 3 with my scimmitar, and huscarl shield.

People moaned when they saw me, because it would mean their swift spammed death using scimmitar strike view difficulty legal exploit. I also torched the local weed club and pissed on the owners. I also sold some stones for 50 000 gold on the market. Yeah that's me. I bet you remember you scullion.

But then the agility nerf came. They could just as well have chopped my legs off those crooked-nosed knaves.

I now come with a prediction. I predict that C-rpg will be really dead due to all the nerfs. Yes, I have two crystal balls under my giant e-penis that most surely is bigger than yours, sir.

General Discussion / I have a confession to make.
« on: June 25, 2013, 09:34:45 pm »
http://forum.meleegaming.com/general-discussion/is-this-for-real!/

I auctioned the stones under the pseudonym CID. I am not to be mistaken for the REAL CID.
I'm a liar and a terrible man. I haven't been able to sleep well ever since my crime, that is why I confess.

I'm also a C-rpg addict.
It was also I who painted the moustache on uncle bob's hundred dollar bill.
I'm also the one responsible for accidently turning on a store alarm, once, as I was looking for a toilet.
It was also me who put cheetos in a sleeping friends nose.
I'm the one who accidently lit the local weed club storage facility on fire.
Oh... and I'm the one who accidently nerfed 1h.

I'm sorry.

General Discussion / Is this for real?!
« on: April 24, 2013, 12:21:59 pm »
http://c-rpg.net/index.php?page=marketplaceauction&id=4563

What the heck? Is this a scam?
Someone explain this to me please. :O

UPDATE:
http://c-rpg.net/index.php?page=marketplaceauction&id=4677

The hell? Now he's trying to sell a "soulstick". I hate all these new magical items going around they will ruin c-rpg.

Does consuming enemy souls mean they wont respawn? If so then it's OP and CID should be banned. It's autoblock all over.

Thank you devs for listening to the community! We appreciate your work and the free product we receive!
You withstand spoiled children screaming for stuff, you withstand nerfers, buffer's and abusers, yet you still deliver. Cheers and much respect to that.
Thanks again! :)

Suggestions Corner / [SUGGESTION] New Market Function, Renting Items?
« on: July 18, 2012, 11:22:52 pm »
Hello, what if you could rent out your heirloomed items to another player for x number of gold during x number of time.

Let's say you want to loom an item, but arn't really sure if it would do well after reaching x3. Well with this function you could go on to the marketplace, find a guy trying to rent out that item, and simply rent it and try it out.

Example:
Player1 puts out a masterwork sword on the market, he selects how long he is willing to rent it out and for what cost. He selects one day at a cost of 20 000 gold.

Player2 rents the item from the market paying 20 000 gold at once. The item instantly disappears from Player1's inventory and is placed in the possesion of Player2. Player2 plays around with it for an entire day, and then, at the end of the day, the item is automatically returned to Player1.

I know this might already be in use (clans and such), but an official system would make it much easier and available for everyone, without the risk of getting scammed.

Potential Problems:
How will the game be able to remove the item from Player2 if he keeps playing constantly? (Edit: Not a problem)
Rich getting richer?

More problems?

Thoughts?
Ideas?
Discuss, and rememer the function of this system is in no way final, I just gave the basic workings of it.

Suggestions Corner / New Unique Weapons
« on: July 16, 2012, 10:52:05 pm »
It would be awesome if we added more unique weapons to c-rpg, weapons that fulfill only one purpose and such.
These are the ones I can think of right now:

1. Poisoned Dagger
If you manage to hit someone with this dagger it would:
A. Take 1 hitpoints every 2 seconds.
or
B. Take 15 hitpoints every 30 seconds.
It wouldn't work very well on heavily armored dudes, and should have a maximum number of uses. (Such as 2 or 5)
Basically copy the normal dagger we have now and name it poisoned dagger, then increase the upkeep by A LOT.
Have it take 2 slots or something as well.

2. Caltrops
visitors can't see pics , please register or login

These would be throwable weapons you can place/throw on the ground. They would either:
A. Slow down all horses and infantry by 90% for a couple of seconds, and take a minor ammount of HP.
or
B. Stun all horses and infantry and take some ammount of damage.
They would basically be medieval mines.
To balance these, make the upkeep high on them. And 1 or 2 per stack. Each would take 1 or 2 slots.

3. Chinese Medieval Grenades
visitors can't see pics , please register or login

These would be throwable objects that would:
A. Stun and inflict damage on X number of players within the AOE.
or
B. Stun a small number of players within the AOE.
To balance it out, have the upkeep on it at 20 000 gold or something. Make the animation for throwing it SLOW, and have it take 2 or more slots. 1 in each stack.

4. Morningstar with Chain
visitors can't see pics , please register or login

Have it randomly smack the user in the face if he misses.

5. Explosive 1 time use spear.
This spear would have a small explosive near the tip. Once sucessfully stabbed an enemy it would:
A. Explode, stun and cause damage to x number of players within the AOE.
or
B. Explode and instantly kill the target, stunning nearby players.
or
C. Explode and instantly kill the target.
It will be a one time use weapon, with high upkeep and 2 or more slots.

6. Blow Darts.
These would either come as poisoned variants or normal variants.
The poisoned would work much like the dagger, with a high upkeep, very expensive and wouldn't work well against heavily armored targets.
The poisoned would also be much less accurate than the normal one.

For 3, 5 and 6 check this image:

(The explosive spear is to the right with a small object to it's side, darts and bombs are to the right as well)

Got any more ideas?

General Discussion / How many leechers have you reported?
« on: July 14, 2012, 01:56:35 am »
So far I think I've made more than 2000 gold reporting leechers. How much have you made?

It's so funny, especially when they rejoin the server and swear at you.

General Discussion / CLASSIFIED Beyond Top Secret. The Ping Burst Weapon
« on: February 08, 2012, 01:10:07 pm »
Hello!

I would like to discuss the possibilites of a new weapon that may or may not have found it's way into C-rpg.
I have a fairly stable ping at around 40, it usually stays that way except for when my computer download certain updates or request other automatic internet services.

But sometimes in battle I have noticed that the ping spikes just for a very short while, just as one have encoutered the enemy, resulting in one's death. The fast burst that one recieve varies from somewhere between 50+ ping to 300+ ping. And I know it's not an update, as they usually make the lag persist way longer, and I know when an update occurs.
It's also strange that everything remains perfectly smooth... until one encounters the enemy. (Don't need to be a big group either)
I believe others have encountered the same "anomaly", if you have please say so.

I want to know if there is any possibility, at all, that you can send an opponent a "package" or in any other way increase their ping for a very short while, just long enough to kill them?
Perhaps as an sophisticated outside "hacker" program interacting with the server, making sure the user can push a button to send a quick lag burst spike to his opponent?
If there is such a program, this is a great security threat that should be dealt with.

This is all tin-foil hat crackhead nutbag talk right? Well so was autoblock too. I'm not good at computers, but is this even possible?
Either way, I think someone should look into it, as I'm sure others have experienced the same thing.

General Discussion / Rank #1
« on: January 26, 2012, 09:58:41 pm »
Hey, under your kills and deaths you can see your rank.
What exactly calculates what your rank is?
I thought it was based on experience or kill/death ratio, but I'm ranked as #1 and I know, almost certainly, that there are several people both higher level and better than me.

1. What exactly are the data calculated to determine what rank is given to you?
2. What's your rank?

Suggestions Corner / Gamemodes and other suggestions.
« on: August 09, 2011, 01:45:43 pm »
Here's my retarded ideas for gamemodes and other suggestions!

I believe something like this has been suggested before, but bare with me here please.
Add all the native gamemodes such as capture the flag, team deathmatch (I see deathmatch is already in-game).
-Team Deathmatch would take all your teams kills and multiply them with some gold/xp every minute.
-Deathmatch would either be like this:
a) Player gains some gold and xp per kill.
b) Player gains a multiplyer for every X kills, all multiplyers will be removed if the player dies. Gain is every minute.
-Capture the flag gives one multiplyer each time your team captures the flag, if the enemy capture your flag, you loose all your multiplyers.

-Zombie mode!
One round would look something like this:
All "non-zombies" would spawn randomly all over the map.
Every player is in team 2, one random guy is set in team 1 and is the zombie, he is the "father zombie". When the "father zombie" gets a successful hit on a player, that player becomes a zombie. Other zombies must completely kill their target to turn them into a zombie.
All turned zombies respawn at zombie spawn and will be set to team 1.
Killed zombies respawn after X seconds.
The "non-zombies" are to survive for as long as possible, and gains an increasing multiplyer the longer they stay alive.
All zombies gain gold and xp for every kill and it is divided among them(the gained amount should be the same no matter how many zombies there are).
Income should only activate once there is 10 players or more on the server.

-Freeplay.
Basically persisten worlds but a lighter version:
-Cutting trees and selling materials to vendors.
-Mining.
-Trading.
-Robbing.
-Raiding Castles.
-Joining factions.
Income should only activate once there is 10 players or more on the server.

-King of the stone!
There is a stone on the map, whoever holds it gains a x5 multiplyer and income is gained every 30seconds(time reset every time stone is picked up). Whats the catch?
Well there is only one stone and only the one keeping it in their inventory will gain the multiplyer and income. (Stone cost 1 slot)
The stone is dropped on death.
Map should be pretty empty, so no one can hide.
The player with the stone should also be highlighted to all the other players.
Income should only activate once there is more than 10 players on the server.
In order to keep athletics players from abusing it, give the stone lots of weight.
Deathmatch, no one is allied and everyone want's the stone.

General battle gameplay suggestion:
-Retreat
When you notice your team is getting slaughtered you could have the option to run to the map border(or to your spawn) and "retreat" when you do, you won't need to pay any repair costs.
In order to balance this out there should be some "light" penalty for retreating, maybe one of these:
-Player won't gain any income(both xp and gold) next round.
-Player won't gain a new multiplyer if his team wins the next round.
-Player won't be able to take part in the next round.
-Costs xp every time you retreat.
-Player multiplyers will ofcourse be reset to 1.

I realize these ideas might be coding messes, but that's just what they are, "Ideas".
I would love to see something else than just battle and siege on crpg, add more variety and I can promise you, alot more people will be playing crpg.
You only have to gain on this chadz!

That's all for now, might add more ideas if I come up with them(and if people can stand my retarded ideas). :P
