General Discussion / IRL - International Rageball League

I'm sure many have had this idea for a Rageball League, but I really want to get it going.

Get a few teams together, schedule a few matches, playoffs, everything.

I don't personally own a server, but I don't think the Hounds will mind too much if I ask to use their server.

I'd like the team names to be more serious, but crpg themed, for example my team would called: Mazen Marauders.

If this is all been in the works somewhere else, let me know, I'd like to help there or start some discussion here.

Idea:
4 teams (for now)
11 or 8 players on the field (Depends on field)
20 man rosters
(Forwards, Mid-Fielders, Defenders, Goal-Keeper)
Playoff system - double elimination
Goalie is only one allowed to use all forms of ranged weapons, players can use rocks however
Uniforms are the colored tunics, helmets. Color - Home, White - Away

Closed Requests / Possible leeching?

I just randomly joined the HoC server because I noticed there was 2 people in it. However when I joined I found two people, I'm almost assuming the same person with 2 accounts. Both had a ping of 320, but one was -27 score, and they were both leeching and not moving much.

Names were the one below, and the other quit and left when I started moving towards them. was like 2_nadn something or another.

Bul-Kathos is one of the original nephalem. After Lilith murdered all angels and demons on Sanctuary, including his parents, several nephalem tried to seize the power of the Worldstone for themselves. Bul-Kathos and other nephalem fought to protect the Worldstone. They succeeded in stopping them, and vowed to continue to protect Mount Arreat. As the centuries passed the nephalem set to stand guard over the mountain all died, with the exception of Bul-Kathos who became one with the earth where he slept.

The Children of Bul-Kathos, also known as Barbarians, are a tribal race located in the Northern Steppes of Calradia. Our tribe acts as bannerman to the Hounds of Chulainn.

It is said that when the world was very young the tribes of the Northern Steppes were given sacred charge. Somewhere deep within the great mountains, lay a source of great power, crucial to the well-being of all humanity. The tribes acted as guardians of this artifact and this sacred duty has shaped their way of life, and built their cities in observance of this power. They called it their "vigil". They believed that if they failed to uphold their duty to the great mount, or were not given a proper burial upon its slopes, they would be denied a true warrior's death, and their spirits would roam the land without honour for all eternity.
Steeped in mystery and tradition, these people refer to themselves as the Children of Bul-Kathos, the great and ancient king. To better protect their lands from outside forces they adopted a nomadic lifestyle, frequently moving within the confines of the Steppes and maintaining few permanent settlements. Isolating themselves from the world outside their territories, they eschew the use of magic and complex machinery, as they believe these things can only weaken the resolve developed over so many years.
The Children of Bul-Kathos have developed a kinship with the land and have learned to harness the primal energies in nature to enhance their own substantial physical prowess, popularly referred to as "Fury". Because of this, and their freedom from the trappings of the outside world, the Kingdoms have historically referred to these tribes as barbarians, an epithet that belies the rich cultural and spiritual history these people possess.
Although some have traded with these curious folk, they did so only along the outmost borders of their lands. All intrusions into the territory surrounding what now is the Arreat Crater were forbidden, and warriors from the northern tribes were quick to thwart any incursions.
Every attempt at conquest has always been met with fierce and decisive resistance in an account of one skirmish, hordes of Barbarian tribesmen silently appeared where none had been but moments before. Their bodies painted in mysterious designs, the tribesmen descended on the invaders, howling as they charged like the fierce mountain winds. Fully half of the trespassing soldiers immediately dropped their weapons and fled, the remainder were set upon by the Northmen with a fervour that none of the battle-hardened invaders had ever witnessed. No quarter was asked and none was given, but in the end, when the outlanders sounded a full retreat, no chase was given either... at least none that could be observed.

Strategus Issues / Town of Kwynn

I took over the town of Kwynn as a transfer, however when I did this I left my faction color as white, and basically liberated the town. I thought once I joined a faction the town would follow suite, but it never did. Now the issue is that when the town was attacked, it sold all of my gear, and purchased gear for itself. Now we're trying to retake this town, that it still says I currently own, but have almost no control over, and everyone is going to sign up and use my gear and strat gold against me. I'm just curious if this is going to stay like this, or if it's something that can be resolved?

cRPG Technical problems / High ping

In the NA servers my ping usually floats around 30-40 ping. However all day the NA servers have been around 100. I actually have a lower ping (90's) in the EU servers. I live in NYC.

I figured it was just my router and network being weird, but the EU pings are the exact same, and other NA servers like TunaTown or HoC are in the 30's.

cRPG Technical problems / Huscarl Shield

I've noticed that on the website the Huscarl shows as taking up only 1 slot. Yet, in game it actually takes up 2 slots, I haven't tried with other shields, but I know some of the lighter, smaller shields only count as 1.

I assume this is from me changing my character name back... or something. Either way it says it can't find Ninja_Jetsam, but then it says it found Ninja_Jetsam. Confused ninja is confused.

You've done good work. I absolutely love the patch, and I love the game 1000 times more now.

As an archer, I love the animation, and I love the new emphasis on getting head shots; always a good thing.
As a Ninja, I love the fact I can flank from afar without worry of missing the big battle for the xp, and doing so to help my team is no longer in vain.
As a player that enjoys always improving himself, and having fun doing it... I love people having to rely more on their skill rather than their hours played.

I've just seen a lot of hate for this patch, as haters are always the loudest. I think it's a step in the right direction, to evolving cRPG.
