Faction Halls / Holy chadzian Remnants
« on: April 21, 2016, 05:33:29 pm »
So,

We are finally going to muster enough energy to change the faction name and color.  Sometime this week from The Holy Crusade to Holy chadzian Remnants (silver).

I'd like to state for the record, no one in the faction has any strong/real ties to organized religion.

We are hoping we can continue to maintain great relations with all you mighty fine folks brave enough to stick around for Strat 6.

God bless North America!

Diplomacy / You have been invited to a Feast at Kelredan Castle
« on: April 14, 2016, 05:14:59 pm »
To all the lords and ladies of this venerable NA Strategus Kingdom.

In honor of my succession to Marshall (stands atop the dead body of Bruttus, a knife protruding out of the stiff rotting cadavers back).

I would like to cordially invite all to Kelredan Castle to discuss the future of our realm and hopefully improve relations with all the great lords.

Recently our faction has seen great turmoil and instability and we wish to repair these unfortunate mistakes and misrepresentations of our people.

There are many things that remain a mystery to me still and we would love to hear tales of bravery and treachery.

As one of the great Masters of the Harem I can guarantee that the event will be catered with nothing but the best for you lords.

There will be no perverse donkey shows at this gathering and no attempts on your pride or lives.

(In order to R.P. join this event please state the following)
1) How your parties entrance is made
2) How you greet myself and my retinue
3) Any party gifts you may have brought me
4) Any other fun stuff you would like to do or say during the party
(I shall endevour to make this the most kickass RP party and respond to all guests in a timely manner in this thread, If anyone shows up on the strat map I would be so glad to make your stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible)

Heraldic Tales from Across the Lands:  Dwarven field battles and the Battle of Ibiran

The tide of the war effort has turned quite sinister for the Holy Crusade.
The dwarven armies were greatly underestimated. In fact, they made a mockery of the boasting and prideful human forces, who fought tooth and nail to survive.
The field battle commanded by Bruttus was nearly a disaster, fought bravely by both sides. Unfortunately Penintent Tutlers' slightly greater numbers and superior forces won the day. Bruttus barely escaped with his life, rushing back to the shadowy figure which some purport truly masterminds the Crusader Army.

With the first of the crusader battles gone awry, a wave of panic and fear set into the Crusader Army, demoralizing all who became cognicent of this loss. Word of this defeat spread to the human armies in hushed whispers, growing in magnitude and awfulness as the tale unfolded. Duke Gryphter scrambled to give chase and finish Penitent from the crusader lands, for an enemy left alive will always return to wreak havok. However his forces were intercepted by a courier from the crusader leadership. Warning from leadership indicated that the retaking of Ibiran was paramount to the crusade, furthermore it was not as assured as once presumed.

In Ibiran, Ashes and tendrils of smoke arose from the wreckage left by the dwarves. The burnt bodies of the denizens clouding the air with it's sickly smell. The clever little rock humpers chose this village well, it's strategic sloping landscape heavily favoring defense. They lay in wait to ambush Sir Chumleys forces, who casually and most ignorantly marched into a most foul trap.

Directly in front of Chumleys' army was a crescent formation of dwarves. Chumleys forces stared incredully from the bottom of the high sloping hill. This vantage affording the dwarven army clear line of sight for ranged attacks. These stubby little bearded warriors were exceptionally patient and organized, holding their positions without fear, never wavering.  They rained arrows and bolts down upon their foes incessantly. Centered atop the peak of the hill was a line of shielders, polearmers and two handers, backed ingeniously by another line of dwarven pikemen. Unusual tactis for the dwarves indeed.

Initially the battle was slow to move into action, both forces resigned to outwait their opponents and find a weakness. It quickly became clear that the dwarves were no fools.  Men poured in to the slaughter, they tried to circumvent this line but were cut down by dwarves hiding in wait in the rubble of the village. Mercenary cavalarymen raked through Chumleys forces who struggled up the hill towards their enemies.

Both armies suffered significant casualties throught this battle. However the human forces were clearly losing men quicker than the dwarves. As the fighting ensued the Human army suffered from crippling losses and eventually desertion. Their communication lines were taken out first and foremost (teamspeak broke). Chumleys' army had very little in the way of strategy, as sporadic groups of men rushed a unified dwarven front.  A few heroes valiantly went down swinging, taking out a fair number of dwarves. Ultimately though it was not enough, the dwarves inflicted devastating losses upon man. As the hours went on and night began to fall, the retreat horn was sounded.  Many a man was cut down in the retreat. Commander Chumley barely escaping with his life and the lives of a few of his lieutenants. When he stumbled upon Gryphter's party he was bruised and bloodied… his men faring worse.

"This will not stand" said Gryphter (secretly nervous to engage his forces in his first ever battle), sending a small number of his men to safely escort Chumley back to the capital. Gryphters scouts reported the dwarven remnants to be small in number compared to his forces, however these scouts also reported that they were collecting much gear from the dead and piling more bodies upon their burning death pire. Not giving them much time to reorganize Gryphters forces surrounded the small village… as they prepare for a final blow in a valiant attempt to quell the Dwarven uprise.

Would it be possible to allow a weekly or bi-weekly character reset on STFs as main.

Currently a person is just stuck either deleting or waiting 7 days to change heroes right?

I finally got my friend to play this game with me, and now hes stuck with 15 STR for a week, and all he wants to do is use an arbalest and crank up his accuracy a ton and do well in strat battles to be a youtube star like us!

General Discussion / CRPG is like the Phoenix, it never dies!
« on: July 23, 2015, 05:25:46 pm »
I just wanna say how exciting things have been these past few months,
From when I start over a year ago till now things have been up and down and I had a fear that this game was starting to die out a bit.
The server population in NA has definately shown great signs of health,  Strat Battles are starting to get really full and tense (very enjoyable)
There are events taking place and the community seems to be sluffing off old resentments and moving forward to make this game great again.

Not to mention we have now have a good admin presence in the servers, I've noticed alot less tomfoolery!

God bless this game, may It live on forever!

cRPG Technical problems / Welcome Package Horror Story
« on: March 11, 2015, 02:13:38 am »
The black night sky was starless and ominous. A cold breeze had begun to blow as he neared the precipice, whipping his cloak wildly about his body. Thunder rumbled ever closer, its resonance causing rocks and pebbles to scatter from the mountaintop with the force of its malevolence.

He crashed to his knees, exhausted from the trek, gasping for breath that did not satisfy the burning pain in his chest. It was fabled that the gods had in ages past taken note of the mere mortals callous enough to hazard this journey so far from life. As the thunder continued to encroach the wind now brought with it angry flecks of ice. They tore at his skin as lighting began to crash down. Where it struck black marks and smoking cracks became evident upon the surface and boulders of this plateau.

'Please venerable gods hear me!' He tried to scream above the chaotic forces of nature assaulting this sacred place.  'I have erred and sinned, I am at your mercy'.

The wind grew stronger, bringing with it unforgiving sized chunks of ice that beat upon his form. Gashing his face and tearing at his clothes.  'I have loomed things I cannot afford, I have respecced countless times, I have reforged, exchanged and given away money and items I could not truly spare.'   The torrential rush of wind now threatened to rip him from this place, he could taste the fear and bile in his throat, there appeared to be no end for a drop of this magnitude.

"I beg thee, I am a kind and dedicated servant, since the age of revitalization I have been mocked by fellow adventurers (co-workers) for not having been bestowed with your godly gifts and divine favor.   Please, help me on the field of battle with divine looms, take away my many costly mistakes and show me mercy'

I figure you guys get enough requests, just thought I'd try and make it a little more interesting.

I started playing a few weeks before the revival patch and have loved it since then. The only thing I haven't enjoyed was my two work buddies who I convinced to buy M&B and play CRPG mocking me for owning 1 Loom when they were given MWs and don’t even play the game like I do. They offered to give me them but alas they cannot do that either.

I think my reputation around the community is good. I follow all the rules and I'm a positive and happy fellow all the time in the servers or teamspeaks I hop in.

Anyhow, my char is now Gen 6 but throughout all this time I have stupidly reforged or spent all my loom points on items I can't afford or don't use.

Please help me so I can take a stab to the gut like a real man.

Thank you for your time and consideration, Gryphter.
