Any of those who remember me and are curious might be wandering why it took really long for me to upload a new video, last time I uploaded a video was back in 2013! Real life was calling to my attention and I got busy with many other stuff and I just haven't had the the time and dedication as well the the right creativity to make a video. If I wasn't feeling the motivation to make it, why push myself to make a video in a rush which I wouldn't be happy about, I felt it wouldn't do anyone or myself justice. So anyway, whenever I had a sudden moment of creativity I made this video peice by peice over time for my good friend Tuetensuppe (I hope it was worth the wait). Thank you Tuetensuppe for allooing me to film you. The whole idea of this video series was to get more interest in cRPG as the scene was getting older and the number of players were dwindling, I wanted to help our community by making videos which I hoped introduce anyone who stumbles into them the magic of this mod which allowed so much flexibility to be who you want and express your personality. I don't think I have ever experienced a game with such a variety of styles to create in a sandbox-esque foundation, layered with debate, textured by strategy and drama all wrapped in an authentic Medieval setting. Truely, the unique thing about this mod was its ability to empower the player and I highly praise its longevity to last the many years. On a more important note I would have to thank the community greatly for their ways in supporting each other and any of those who watched my videos or my friend's videos on our channel. As for the future, I doubt I will be making cRPG related videos as my interests have shifted. Thanks for reading and I really hope you like this video.

Lizard_man's is a character whose way of life juxtaposes between violence and serenity.
As the pressures of war and the clashes of his lifestyles amounts, what will the consequence be?

General Discussion / Recording of gameplay using PlawClaw
« on: July 16, 2012, 01:33:33 am »
Ok, I did a test with PlayClaw (one of the two, other one will be uploaded later) and used the 1080p h264/ mp4 settings as recommended by Thomek and Nessaj.

Captured at 60fps, fullscreen and no sound with PlayClaw.
Edited using Sony Vegas pro 10.
Rendered at 1080p, h264 extension, 30fps and at 10mbps with HandBrake (http://handbrake.fr/).

Click me for video!

PlawClaw performs really well, now I can record at fullscreen at 60fps and play really well with little lag! Before when I was using Fraps, it was more laggy and recording at fullscreen was unplayable. What you guys think about the quality?

[UPDATE]

PlayClaw Test video 1 here!

Captured at 60fps, fullscreen and no sound with PlayClaw.
Edited using Sony Vegas pro 12.
Rendered at 1600x900, .mp4 extension, Audio: 256,000kbps, 48,000Hz, 60fps and at 20mbps with MainConcept AVC/AAC.

Rendering at the same resolution of your game works well.

Whole point of this thread is to get some feedback on the quality, perhaps this information will help some who are clueless/ starting out or those who are looking to get the best out of their videos on youtube.

Suggestions Corner / Improve the Spectator's HUD
« on: May 26, 2012, 12:50:51 am »
Improve the Spectator's Point of View Display

Problems with current HUD:
- When we spectate there is no way the game HUD tells us who of the players belongs to which team. This makes it hard to follow battles as we have to guess by what the players are wearing to tell which side they are on which can be ambiguous.
- It's very hard to identify the name of certain players as the game does not tell us.
- Some enemies hiding in shadows, objects or buildings are hard to pick out in spectator view. Again this makes it hard to follow the battle.
- No way to tell exactly how much hp or ammo a player has.

Solution:
- There's a casting channel 'Warband Battlestream' on Twitch tv which streams competitive Mount & Blade: Warband matches e.g. http://www.twitch.tv/warband_battlestream/b/318087058 . In the recordings from the channel, notice that from spectator's point of view it shows the team colored player names and health bars float above the character models, which is pretty darn neat and handy in distinguishing the difference between two teams, I reckon that it would be great to incorporate that into cRPG as an option (on/ off). The reason for an off option are for those who simply enjoy having no HUD or for screenshot purposes.
- Dead players in spec mode see the default view which means no printed IDs or floating hp bars in order to avoid cheating.
- Problems of finding out who's who, who's hiding where, who belongs to which team and who's got how much health are solved.
- I suggest improving this mod by adding a floating ammo counter display.
