Mercenary Recruitment / SQUID BANDITS ATTACKING TRADE/ACRE

Just and update on the situation here, there is a bandit faction in NA called the Squids. The Squids have attacked us several times now twice against traders, and once at the home of the Scottish Rebels. The battles are all being pushed back and at weird times other than dirigh aban. We would love your merc support in these coming battles. They also jumped on a random trader inside our territory (Kalonice, nice to meet you even under poor circumstance) who we are going to do our best to support.

These guys think they have the right to close off borders to people, they want to steal Calradia from you all, don't allow that. Don't let these fools stop you from trading with us. You are all welcome to our fiefs SD (Not you squids) just let us know if you plan on visiting one of the reserved/closed trade fiefs so we can work it into our operations.

Crusader Sivart has been attacked while on a peaceful trade route by one of the Squids. This is an act of War by the Squids against the Kingdom of Acre.

I ask that you consider a few things when deciding who you will support and who you shall fight alongside throughout this conflict.

One, the Kingdom of Acre endeavours to operate several free trade fiefs on the map. All factions (not those at war with us) can send people to purchase gear in our territory and never fear about getting jumped. The Squids are trying to stop/minimize free trade. Two, we do not ask for your papers when crossing our lands, we ask only that you let us know in advance if you come with more than 375 troops. Three, Through our history in Strat we have never doublecrossed anyone, the Squids(AoW) have on multiple occasions for personal benefit. Four, I am personally invested in helping as many people as I can in the community to improve their skill and even with Gold from my own coffers. I plan to put up large bounties on the devious Squid leadership as well as pay out rewards to both skilled and loyal fighters throughout the war.

So I ask you to please fight with us against the Squid menace, Let us fish and feast on delicious calamari.

Event description: You get one chance at the 2v2 melee, no more, you lose you are out. Such is the life of a tournament fighter. The tournament is melee only No Range or Cav will be allowed to participate. Ranged/Cav players or players at low levels can compete on a skip the fun!

Day/Month/Year of event: This coming week on Wednesday April 23rd at 6pm(forgiving a strategus battle should be called at this time for Acre, in the event this occurs the tournament will be rescheduled.

Time and timezone: 6:00pm est or at a later date if Strategus intervenes.

Estimated duration of event: Hopefully less than an hour if we moved at a good pace. In the interest of saving time there will be a maximum of 16 teams.

Prize pool: 200k CRPG gold. 100k to the winning team, 65k to the second place team and 35k for the third place team.

IMPORTANT: The only gear restriction will be against the use of crush-through weapons after multiple requests from competing teams.

Note:  Deadline to apply is 1hr before the tournament assuming there are slots remaining.

The first team to enter the tournament will be King James and his former squire Arquus of Acre.

This post will be updated as the situation unfolds. Krosis has attacked the Crusader Kingdom of Acre. He has attacked one of our members inside our territory. This is equal to a declaration of war and unless the situation is explained the Crusader Kingdom of Acre will have to defend itself against this attack and secure its safety for the future.

Please sign up to help us defend our men and the rightful laws of trade! The army will be reinforced with enough tickets and gear to secure victory.  This type of behaviour will not be tolerated.

In light of recent events we feel the need to publicly declare the lands we consider our territory. Included here is a picture of our updated lands (13/03/2014)

The area shown here will from now on be considered a combat free trade zone. Players initiating combat inside the zone will experience enemy merc support from the Kingdom of Acre. This plan is modelled off of the Raven territory in the last age of Strategus. We intend to operate mainly as a free trade Kingdom and cannot have traders being harassed. In the interest of business we hope you can understand why this is not acceptable for us.

☩ Attacking traders who have been granted permission to trade and pass through our lands is not acceptable.

☩ We will in the future do our best to reinforce players who are attacked in our lands with permission and promise of protection.

☩ Players leaving the territory are not to be immediately ganked the second they pass outside our borders as shown on the picture. (Common sense applies here)

The meetings had gone on for days. The group of fighters to whom James was speaking was led by a man named King Harx, a name James hard heard of as long as he could remember. The Rebels showed a great desire to improve as well as a strong dedication, something that led James to believe they would be useful allies. The fighters  hailed from a land called Scotland and had once considered themselves rebels. It appears the name had stuck as Harx had told James his men still operated under the name The Scottish Rebels. James discussed the operations of his Kingdom with the Rebel commander and eventually and agreement was made for the benefit of both groups.

The Kingdom of Acre has, after long discussions, decided to vassalize the Scottish Rebels under King Harx. The Rebels will be making their way towards Acre claims and will be considered members of the faction for Strategus purposes. Attacks from here on out against the Scottish Rebels will be considered attacks against the Kingdom of Acre as they are now our vassals. The Scottish Rebels also hereby agree to behave as would be expected of Acre members as well as to follow the Acre chain of command or face the consequences.

The purpose of this post is to outline the claims and policies of the Kingdom of Acre in the coming round of Strategus as well as to continue the RP of our Kingdom.

As per the post Repent For The End Is Nigh the Women and Children of the Kingdom had been spirited away in the moments before the doom. Sent away across the north eastern sea to preserve the blessed noble bloodlines of the Kingdom of Acre. Though they were not able to salvage the whole of the relics of the Kingdom the majority of the Kingdoms most valuable holdings were retained.

 Having left with a force of Elites the escapees had made for the land across the narrow sea.  It had been a dificult journey. but the captains of the voyage had long trained for the situation. An indescribable amount of time was spent honing fighting skills on the ships during the trip, enough to make any man sick at the sight of a blade.  Upon landing across the sea, the Crusader Colonies of Acre quickly reformed the institutions they had had in the old world.

The new world was prosperous. Often a saying was heard through New Acre "still double xp wow happy new year, and also chinese new year, and happy best game on the internet". It was unknown when and if the old world would ever become inhabitable again. Tales of the death that had swept the land still persisted through sailors and refugees. Confident that the gods would see his faction through to the dawn James had sent out several explorer ships. It took longer than James had expected to receive word from his emissaries, but eventually they returned with word of the clearing. The first ship came back bearing goods returned from the reborn land and James knew the moment had come. Immediately the entire force of the Kingdom was mobilized to return to the lands held by their fathers.

To clarify the areas claimed by Acre James had a map dispatched to the relevant lords of the realm.

Other / IRC Chat ban?

Hey guys so ever since working class poll banned me for no reason in eu I have been banned from IRC chat. I would like to be able to get in there so I can answer questions anyone has while I'm there as well as in case I need to speak with admins/devs relating to the coming strategus. I don't know why I am banned from the IRC chat but I noticed it the day working class poll banned me as I went to try to communicate with a dev. Not sure if its related.

Just hoping someone can help me with this as all the admins i've spoken with seem to not be able to do anything about it.

I was recently poll banned for no reason mid way through an eu strategus battle by working class the sloth and it seems that this has banned me from irc chat as well? Can someone tell me if that is the case and for how much longer I'll be banned.

4. Written description of what happened, the whole story. Also what happened before and after. : Myself and many of my faction were playing in an eu strategus battle. We gladly signed up for the stellar xp. Mid way through I was poll banned for no reason by working class the sloth. This caused me to miss out on the remainder of the battle. I am still banned from eu servers aswell as IRC chat. After I created this ban thread after cannary mentioned it was outside the rules to poll ban without cause. I missed a lot of xp here that I was planning to get to level up for later battles. This griefing is excessive.

5. Why you think the offender did what he did. : He is a career troll who plays this game for nothing but causing a negative experience in the community for others. I have seen this player many times over my career in crpg and he trolls often.
