General Discussion / Better Marketplace Messages?

Just thought about this. Wouldn't it be nice that when you got the I accept your trade Message, the Message told you what got traded? I mean most of us should know but sometimes a trade might be up for awhile.

(Btw Don't know where this should go, Suggestions?)

For some reason, on the this server Horse bumps caused you to get  bumped in turn. I Think WSE is turned off or it's using something else? I don't know. I'm not the only one, some of my clan mates say the same thing.

(though, does the game say .241 in the version number for those who have it, cause i Put my .241 in and it says .240, that might be a problem....?)

Oh and other things are wrong. Please admin Hop on and tell me it's not just me.

EDIT: I think the server didn't get any patches. Yo wtf, that's the only NA seige server atm and it's WAY borked.

I killed this guy Once in a round and then he left and rejoined, just to get killed by me again.

Not the best of pictures, but If you check the log for this map you'll see that he Died within the first 30seconds, and then was later killed again later. I have the SS's of when I killed him for that round, I wish I had a better way to show that he's on the log twice other than that.

Reason: Exploiting Battle Mechanics to get 2 lives in one round.

I don't have archer, but as an xbow user if I fire a shot and pick it up, I lose my entire quiver(?) of bolts thereby having an expensive, unusable weapon.

Going to do some more tests.

So far I'm seeing it with heirloomed items.

Upon further testing:
If you don't have WSE, I believe it bonkers your ability to pick up ammo. I don't see it on Officials, but I saw it on Haven.

I Just went over and looked at my recent last games.

After the Battle, We get paid yes? Well, looking over my AI battles listing, of 5 battles participated (3 of 5 for 1 g, 1 for 15g, 1 for 25g) I got paid 0 In all battles. (of the 5 one was the village test battle which was 25g for that)

Perhaps the AI script needs it's paying updated and or fixed?

Strategus Issues / 1/3 Attacking

I thought that you needed 1/3 to attack someone?
I was able to initiate a battle against a city with less that 1% of the cities troops.(192 total) I didn't get auto canceled. Something might be problems there.

I went with some clan mates and performed some tests for catapults.

We tested Multiple things. First the amount of Clicks needed to take the arm from 0 all the way to 100%. We then tested the Number of clicks to change the block(angle control) from 0(initial start of catapult) to the point it moves no further. We determined an average number of clicks based on repeated trials. Using this number I went through and created a Table showing Power and Angle click amounts.

Please not, the ANGLE doesn't mean ANGLE of shot, just the blocks percentage from start. (this changes the angle of shot but I can't reliably get the data without a protractor.

We also did firing tests with catapult. Will post that data later, but I noticed something interesting. At Angle 0 and Power 100 on the charts above, the shot would continually go longer and longer. After some 15 firing the shots were leaving the map and we couldn't track them any more. Also, at other angle other than 0 the catapult would in general shoot shorter each consecutive shot. Occasionally (rarely)  it would go long.  Also note, that power beyond 50% on angles greater than 25% would cause shots to go much further than expected. (Angle of 50, power 100 would cause shot to be lost without ability to be seen.

If anyone knows the distance traveled with 3 athletics, no armor or some equivelent, could someone tell me? I have my range finding data based on that variable. Further tests on Field by a River might commence later.

Time to Shot Measured as Said on the Variables. Nude player, 3 ath ran from the front of catapult, to the spotter and recorder. Spotter would spot where shot landed and stay there as the marker. Rain in straight line. The Hill variable means the shot was OVER a hill and we recorded an approximate time reduction(the -#).

Strategus General Discussion / Defence of Glunmar!

Well this is a call out to all  players! the first large scale NA battle(Risen Vs Dhara) in the battle of Glunmar is going to take place! The battle will take place at 11:00 am EST on Friday, July 21. (1k vs 675 ish).

Please help defend our village against the risen. We are asking that if you sign up, place your build in your description and attempt to get on our TS 20- 30 minutes ahead of time. If that doesn't work, then at least be in the server ahead of time.

Also, Thovex waited until NA strat came up, and for that I give him my respect. Enemies, maybe, but at least respectful enemies.

I was scanning through the shop for bows and throwing and many some items aren't showing up.

For Bows: All i see is the longbow.
For Throwing: All throwing axes, and daggers are missing. (Spear based still there)

General Discussion / Oh noes, straw hat has funny stats!

I was looking at my equipment awhile ago and i noticed something....odd.

The straw hat wieghs more than a mail coif:
Straw Hat
weight: 1
head armor: 2

Mail Coif
weight: 0.8
head armor: 22
difficulty: 6

BUG?, It seems like the Hat's weight wasn't reduced to match all the other low tier head items.
