My reasoning with the low WM goes like this. (data taken from my Skip the Fun character not the character builders which give a slightly higher weapons points)
WM 3 = 130 two handed wpf
WM 4 = 138
WM 5 = 146
from the forums the contribution of weapon points to damage is (wpf * 0.01 * 0.15 + 0.85)
(okay I'm ignoring the effect of armor on effective wpf but I think the percentages should be similar)
WM 3 = 1.045
WM 4 = 1.057
WM 5 = 1.069
so going from WM 3 to 4 increases damage by only 1.2%
and going from WM 3 to 5 increases damage by 2.4%
in fact, the percentages would be even lower because you slap on STR/5 at the end right?
Where as each IF gives you 2 more hit points which could allow you to survive another if you have decent armor.
I'm new to this so I'd appreciate if you could point out flaws in the math/argument.

So I'm thinking of doing this build for my next generation. What do you all think? I'm worried about the low athletics and am considering trading an IF for 5 in athletics.

I've been searching the forums but can't find if there is an item spreadsheet out there somewhere. I like the shop but would like to be able to compare multiple items at a time.
If anyone has a link, or a way to find something like this in the game files I'd appreciate some help.

How do you get the stats for secondary modes on weapons? I'm interested in finding out the secondary mode stats for the Langes Messer.

cRPG Technical problems / Siege defender respawn timer broken?

The last couple times I've played siege in cRPG the defender respawn countdown says respawning in 3 seconds instead of the full 30. You still don't spawn until after 30 seconds but there is no countdown timer.

I just requested 100 gold and was accepted! But it is clear that I am on the loosing side of the battle; outnumbered almost 2 to 1. Does loosing hurt your character?
Is it better to be on the winning side (of course i'll play either way but just wondering)?
When there is no teamspeak server listed is there a default somewhere, or does it mean they aren't going to have ts?

I tried a couple strategus battles yesterday. They are a lot of fun but I'm wondering when you request pay, is that strat gold, or crpg gold?
Also, how does xp work in strat battles?
Is there a webpage or in depth guide to strategus, I've read the faq and strat for dummies posts, is their something with more info out there?
