He was a man who did not bring presents like this "Coca-Cola Santa" you are familiar with. He came to people's houses to punish all the naughty children and leave the kind kids be. I like this historical RP approach when I play cRPG and therefore I need the hat back. I don't think that the historical santa had this kind of hat but it makes the character recognisable for the ones that don't know the history. Real Santa was wearing a coat or something similiar with fur and looked nasty and scary.
