Title: Nerf Generational XP GAIN POST level 30

This is gonna hurt my gen 8 soon to be 9 more than others but I strongly suggest capping generational bonus post level 30

Why? U said u want heirlooms to be important in six weeks do you want me to have 2 more masterworks? Just a honest question

Anyhows I think this is the best suggestion as limiting amount. Of heirlooms alltogether gets rid of any want for achievers to strive for anything and honestly are u making the game for people who want to play or people who want to play their guy once a year

I think a 50% bonus cap would be good with your strategus char(1 per cd key) getting a 25% bonus on top(so even new players "main" would get xp bonus an have five 10% bonuses to grind for)

And now to catch up I have to grind 31 before I can retire with that benefit?  GAH!

You think that having 150% XP bonus for gen 15 will make it easier for them to reach lvl 35 or higher. They have to play for two weeks to reach lvl 31 and retire which means before they get there chadz is gonna change the game again and nerf their effort  :wink:

Remember how everyone thought they could "game" the patch and everyone had the attitude don't retire its not worth it the patch will come and you'll want to be level 50 to cope with softcap

Still have to wait a week per retirement regardless if you reach 31 in a day or 5 min.

It would be nice if the Xp from 30 to 31 was reduced to 50% of the current level. The last MMo i played was Darkfall and the grind was unimaginable. Im perfectly fine with the vets keeping their huge bonus's they worked hard for, but it would be cool too if us new comers had a chance at some rare weps. Even if you halved it, it would still take us considerable work to achieve a big percentage like alot of you guys. 2 million xp as opposed to 4 million would be a huge boon to us old family guys.

Well I never retired because I thought it was exploitive bullshit in order to (at the time) grind wpf/gold/xp bonuses on top of +3/+3 lolswords (and armor if you're goretooth :P).  Honestly I've never seen higher than 36 pre-patch, I just roll a new alt to play with instead of retiring.  Of course now that I see that people are getting essentially x10 multipliers I realize I should have played the meta game as well :(

Suck it up, Gorath. You're always critical when it comes to this subject and now you're clearly whining. I'm gen 2 (soon to be gen 3) and I don't care if someone gets double XP i'm getting per tick. Neither should you.

x3         3000                         7500
x4         4000                         10000
x5         5000                         12500

it sure wont help them ...

Just make it that characters need 30+generation to retire with bonus and problem solved. GG trying to reach lvl 46 for kesh :F

Even 30 + gen/2(rounded up) would do the trick.

Seriously, don't consider playing cRPG a day job. You don't get paid for playing it, and you're certainly not getting a raise for doing the same 'job' for a long time.
OP is right, higher generations can retire quicker and quicker. OK, now the gap is smaller with the heirloom theft, but honestly: that thing was all well and good once. If you want to keep the gap as small as it is now, you either have to nerf the generation bonus, or reduce the number of heirlooms again and again - which is not nice.

Could also increase the level needed for retirement by 1 for each time :p

*edit* Also 9k is the max xp gain you can have  :wink:

I'd say leave the bonus. If you think about it after you retire and get your heirloom you want to get to it faster, right? The xp bonus allows you this but also on the other hand if you have no xp bonus why retire? Just make an alt cause the heirloomed items repair bill would make it not worth the hassle.
