Hmmm....OH YES! It's when Uncle Sam gave birth to the first firework, and he defeated the British by launching it across the ocean, and slaying their Queen!

It is the day that Americans celebrate due to a bunch of criminals, ruffians, so-called "savages," traitors, Frenchmen and common folk trouncing the British.
AKA Independence Day.

It's the day that the british, who werent actually The British , kicked The British , out of land owned by The British , but who was also helped by the French and Spanish somewhat, who also werent The British .
But The British at the time didnt care what the british did in a land that The British didnt actually own, even though they thought they did, because The British felt they had more pressing interests in the rest of the world, which The British did indeed forcefully-but-not-really, own.
Then for no reason atall, someone started shouting AMERIIICAA!!!

The British : Actually The British
the british: Not really The British , but who may have been part of The British at one time.
French and Spanish: Definitely not The British !!!
The rest of the world: Not The British , but who could have been if only they tried hard enough.
American: Some kind of loud noise....

I'm British, in actually fact i'm a direct descendent of some fella who was a british noble running america, owned the majority of what is now called manhatan, his name was the bostan merchant. Richest bundle of sticks in america in the late 1700's. Untill he got fucked over in the war of independence :P Well he stole all of your natural recourses for close to 50 years, A GREAT MAN.
