Title: New Map.
Post by: Deavan on June 29, 2011, 02:40:59 pm
Hey I'm new here and this is my first map. I thought I'd share it and if anyone wants they might like to tweak/change it.

It's limited only to a Battle map as of yet but any feedback/criticism would be great. I personally felt Crpg needed more maps like this.

(not sure of any specific protocol to follow but here it is.)

some feedback.  Use terrain paint "village" for the village makes it look more real . Also drop the terrain around it put a wall looks better ( is ee some wall and if theres a lowered area with a gate into the vally ignore this. Just make it so people cant get up on the wall if you want them to stay in the city. Then paint with a smaller brush (5 radius or so) and make a path around the whole city and link to peoples doors. also add meaning to each house.. who lives there? whats there profession? is this a tavern? add props accordingly. the devil is in the details

Perhaps I wont give every house a fictional character...  But the rest sounds good :)

lol :) at least give 2 or 3 a fictional meaning (tavern)(brewry)(loom house)(armor shop) and add some props it makes the whole scene better sure it takes time but the longer it takes and the more detail (to a point) the better
