Title: Cav build help (wpf question)

I know the basics of this build are good. (21/15) But I need know if the wpf split is ok, of if I would be gimping myself.

Basically, it's a 1/h cav build that is also good on the ground.  Also, I'd like to be able to pick up a glaive or a lance and still do pretty well.  Is 130/89 too low?

What do you think?

140/90 is certainly better than 130/89...but to do that and keep my other stats I'd have to go 18/18 and take 1 less powerstrike.

So, then the question is...what is better?  10 wpf in 1h or 1 PS?

give 10 wpp to 1h because it is your main weapon

So you are saying 6 PS and 140 wpf is better than 7 PS and 130 wpf?
I'm not sure if we're on the same page..

The choices are:

18/18
6 PS
6 WM
140 1h
90 pole

OR

21/15
7 PS
5 WM
130 1h
89 pole

i'm thinking the 2nd choice is best.  I'm wondering if 130 wpf is adequate.

Digglez, I'm looking at you here.  You said in a previous post you've played lots of shield characters.  Can a player get by ok with 130 wpf?

To be really effective, just drop the 1h completly and put all your wpf in polearms.

But if you really want to be a 1h/pole hybrid, maybe you should try this :

Level 30 (4 420 577 xp)

    Strength: 21
    Agility: 15
    Hit points: 60

    Skills to attributes: 2

    Ironflesh: 2
    Power Strike: 7
    Shield: 5
    Athletics: 5
    Riding: 5
    Horse Archery: 0
    Power Draw: 0
    Power Throw: 0
    Weapon Master: 5

    One Handed: 129
    Two Handed: 1
    Polearm: 90
    Archery: 1
    Crossbow: 1
    Throwing: 1

But you will really need a fast and heirloomed 1h to stand a reasonable chance against skilled or spamhappy enemies.

50-60 1h wpf is enough if you choose a fast 1h like the scimitar of niuweidao.

I personally use mw mil cleaver with 60 wpf and 4 shield skill, and i often get 5+ kills after being dismounted.

Pay attention to the bolded part.

If you ever buy or (more likely) make a MW heavy lance, you can use it very effectively with much less wpf in polearms than a regular one too.

I think 90 wpf and PS 7 can do with a normal elite spammitar, though (or another uberfast 1h).

I didnt notice a difference between 5 & 6 powerstrike with my 1hander.  I do however notice speed difference between 130 & 140 WPP

i know it is important, that is why i suggested elite scim or niuweidao since i assume he dont have the time/gold to get mw 1h - the suggested weapons beats mw mil cleavers speed, but with slightly less dmg and range
