Why nerf xbows and stuff when the true imbalance lies in the totally fake polearms and 2h swords?
This is totally stupid and needs to be changed.

I don't disagree. 2h/Polearms are implemented oddly. I think this is by virtue of the flawed combat engine more than anything else.

If you think they are somewhat more powerful than whatever you're using grab a 2h/pole and get your
swag spam on.

I've done that. I've picked up a few of the weapons including a War Spear, Pike, and Elegant Pole Axe. I get far, far more kills with the later but I prefer Spear/Shield and Pike for some reason (despite the thrust of the spear being woefully underpowered).
I think that the 2h/polearm weapons are still OP in many situations when directly compared to 1h/Shield.

Have you ever tried to fight with 2h or polearm?
Most of the time u get killed by an archer,crossbowman or someone with throwing weapons.
If u get close enough some fucktards with shields attack you and you are totally fucked.
Postpatch the stab is senseless so you get killed by horses most of the time.
The speed is the only advantage you have for using 2h/polearms.
My opinion is,you should shut the fuck up until u tried to fight with these weapons.

It really sucks that everybody is whining to chadz that he has to "balance" weapons,and after he did it you cry about the "balance".

Actually, most of the time you get killed by another 2h/pole who simply has a longer weapon reach than you.

Or has the short katana, makes the one needed block and then spams you so fast that you can't even counterattack.

Pikes work great for teamsupport. Stay behind your allies and stab the people they are fighting, or lock them down by keeping the pike pointed at them.
Shields are also a pain for anyone who has no anti shield weapon, if you can't outspam or outfeint them fast, you are in a long fight and get backstabbed, even if you make all the blocks.

For your information, the right mouse button is the block button. This button is needed, don't forget about it.

It's pretty possible with a katana and a proper footwork. I heard lots of whining yesterday after doing this on the NA battle server. Probably, I'm gonna continue this until the powerful whine wave spreads on the forums too ;).
Of course, I can fight in a normal way (and you know it well) but katana spam is terribly effective right now.

IMO unbalanced weapon=such weapon which can be terribly effective in hands of a noob not in hands of an expirienced Warband players. And in that case katana is definitely not uber/unbalanced/cheating weapon. It just gives you a big advantage if you really know how to use it. Neither more nor less.
