+1 bec de corbin or longsword + 100k. 430k value.

430k value? Only in derp math.

Everyone trying to get more than 300k per heirloom level is ripping people off, as that is approximately how much it's worth on a grind-time basis. From level 1 to 31, while using pretty cheap gear, you make about 300k. Which also means that if you grind for the same amount of time without retiring, you will earn ~300k.

Therefore, any price above that is at a premium, and any price below that is a deal. You may ask yourself, or even me, "Hey, why is he posting in my thread, informing people of logic that they may otherwise have failed to grasp themselves?"

The answer is simple. I would like the community at large to be completely informed as to the innate value of heirlooms and heirloom points, so that the over-inflated prices may become a thing of the past, and people can enter into deals KNOWING that they are either paying a premium, or getting a deal based on the circumstances. I figure that this thread is as good a place as any to start the movement!

I'm sure some people will counter that market prices are set by what people demand for them, and what others are willing to pay for them. And to some degree, that is true. But perception of worth is what drives demand, and that perception may be altered. I'm sure some people are demanding outrageous prices for looms because they see other people demanding similar prices on the market, and therefore believe that to be the going rate, when in fact, the majority of thusly priced items on the market sit there not selling for weeks on end.

JOIN THE RESISTANCE! Sell your items for reasonable prices! Only purchase items for reasonable prices! Fix the world! Be an instrument of balance in the marketplace!

P.S. If, after reading this, you disagree with me, I will sell you an heirloom point for 430k.

I'm with you Heroin. 400k is an insane amount for an heirloom, 300k should be a beginning point in the sale/purchase for an heirloom point imo

cost of producing something does not equal market value.  if i have a product that cost me 20 dollars of my time to produce, am i going to sell it for 20 dollars?  do you really think people expect to never profit from trades?

also, there also this little thing called supply and demand.  whatever is fotm is gonna be worth more.

in addtion, you're not taking into account that a good population of this market is rich.  rich enough the inflate the value of the things they want.

if you think there's some injustice at work just because it takes longer to grind the gold yourself then to buy something, thats great.  but you're incorrect

Maybe he just looking for revolt to buy something cheaper:)

Also - thank you Heroin, I like your lordly Mail Gauntlets.

I'm having a slight bit of trouble interpreting what you're saying here, so bear with me, and forgive me if I'm wrong. But it sounds like you're saying I sold my mail gauntlets for 1.5 million gold, which is not the case as far as I recall.

And - No problem. I'm glad you're enjoying them. I did as well.
