i think think they should be better. You gring for 2-3 weeks, and all you get is +1-2 dmg and no speed. I dont like it

If you were grinding before, you're going to grind now. What difference does it make?

The only reason i was grinding before was to get my masterwork katana. Now i have to spend 5 times the original amount of time grinding, and i don't get anything better. That simply sucks

chadz said he might improve them somehow.
On the other hand, since the whole point was to reduce the gap between the grinders and the casuals, don't expect your masterwork katana to become a lightsaber.

Don't do it then?

A masterwork weapon has something like 4-5 extra damage. That's a lot, typically equal to another level of powerstrike or so, even more on some weapons.
Let's not mention how a few points of speed mean a lot.
If it's a overpowering advantage, then everyone will grind to get it, because they'll need one to compete - which would suck. If it's a nice advantage to have (like now), but is not blatantly OP, then it's a choice you make, or don't make.

i want mi lightsaber

I am fine with heirlooms not being much better - It makes sense to me.

Um, I guess that's only if you loom a weapon. Some people loom their armor.
