Title: NACRPG.net not actually recording all stats from NA servers
Post by: DrKronic on June 24, 2011, 02:19:09 am
and of course only speaking of the strategus, both *ats* battle servers and the siege, but its definitely getting the stats wrong after the uploads, I've been tracking comparing to my end of battle screenshots and sometimes I'm getting more kills or less than I actually got, just a heads up if you want to compare what its logging to my records just to see what the actual problem is I'd be glad to help, but somethings definitely amiss

(like for example got 72 kills 22 deaths on duel but none uploaded, from battle only my deaths seemed to update last night)

its new and all, just figure there might be an error in the programming or something wanted to alert y'all too

cool site btw, wish it tracked damage inflicted, top guy you die to, other stuff :)

This is intentional, only battle stats are recorded because it is the least easily abused. Siege, duel, and DtV all do not record stats.

Siege most definitely does record stats. I hardly ever play battle, and I have still have over 2000 kills.

We are talking about the www.nacrpg.net site not the character site.

I've followed the stats, and they are correct.

I'll check it out. As far as i know it works....

Keep in mind that the player stats update every hour on the hour, and they take a good 10 minutes to fully update.

Yeah... it has to track siege stats.

I've really only played on NA Siege and it shows me as having a bunch of kills/deaths.

I know duel works also, otherwise how would we have proof that Cyranule has the best KDR on the duel server (besides common sense :D)?

Interestingly I've noticed that tks and tkd stats don't get recorded in siege.  That's why some people have like 2000 kills and no tks or tkd

I do not know why you have had problems with this. Make sure that you are checking about ten minutes after the hour for proper updates. The file saves at the 55 so any stats after the 55 will be in the next update. Deaths are recording properly on Battle, Siege, and Duel. Sometimes it will miss a stat or two when it updates. I dont feel like it is worth my time to make these things 100% working as in not missing any stat.

Interestingly enough, TKS on duel and siege do not work, both for different reasons. On duel every kill is recorded as a TK, so I skip them. On siege, however, they do not show up at all. I have no idea why they do not show up but they don't. Battle they are shown however.

Could we get TKD and TKS expressed as a ratio over deaths and kills? The absolute number of times you've TK'ed or been TK'ed aren't nearly as useful as the proportion, as some people just play a lot more than others. If you could see how many team kills over how many kills, or how many team deaths over how many deaths, we'd be able to get a much clearer picture.

We are at the moment trying to add EU. We're experiencing some hickups so stand by as we add more features.

you know it seems like it is updating it correctly after I reviewed yesterday's screenshots, but tk's are definitely not being recorded in siege

awesome work tho, I'd love to see if it could show you at some future point what killed you most often(like weapon type), any other stuff we could extract from the fights(like Nemesis(guy that kills you most, etc)

This has been suggested several times and will most likely be in the works soon.

It'd be cool to see weapon kill stats for the server as a whole as well as individual players.

Question: If someone changes their name does the stat site record the change or does it start a new player with new stats?

it records it as a seperate character. Your old info will be preserved in history!

For instance, god-awful stats as Seawied are posted, and after my name-change, my god-awful stats as Seawied_ATS are listed like a second character.

I can't say for sure how long the stats will remain on the site, but it does not appear to delete them frequently.

I have thought out my plan on what will be implemented in what order. First, I will be implementing the kill streak system as the idea came out first. Next I will be working on the Nemesis system where you can see who you have killed most and who has killed you most. Finally I will begin the Most Deadly with and most afraid of system where you can see what weapons you are most deadly with and what things tend to kill you the most.

As for your question, Seawied answered it perfectly. However, in the future we plan to have several systems setup to let you manage your stats a little more and allow for kills to follow the name change. As well as some other stuffs.

Would it be possible to track our total wins/losses as well?  Also, related but not for nacrpg.net, can you track defender/attacker wins on specific maps?  There's some maps that have a lot of potential but are currently heavily weighted for one side or the other and still in rotation, for example, the spiral staircase map on NA siege.

I do not think it is possible to track wins and losses. Would be cool and I will probably look into it in the future.
