My suggestion is to give Japanese armor its proper name, instead of "Strange armor" change it to Do-maru/Haramaki, (Havent had a chance to see the armor since the retexture) Kabuto, Suneate etc
Do-maru, Ties at the side
Haramaki, Ties at the back

yes why not
+1
-
Agreed. The names should be all historical or all fantastical.
-
A mixture of historical accuracy and medieval fantasy doesn't sound too bad.
Else there wouldn't be black armors for us players to laugh at. (Not funny when Goretooth shows up as a foe, though)
Anyways, I agree with OP.

who gives a fuck?
-
Exactly, its a Win/Win situation
-
Its only name. Better pray for weapons retextures we made together with armors.
-
They're retexturing the weapons as well?
-
But the Asian culture can be so....Strange at times. In all honesty, +1 to the idea of renaming for historical context.

Nonsense! Tentacle rape is a perfectly normal type of porn!

I asked the same thing a long time ago

There are other types of porn
OT: Having proper names is always a good thing, having the armour named "Strange Armor" is just....strange...

Was wondering if you have any pictures of "retextured weapons"

these people should know that they are strange and the name should remain.
-
can't give historical names to non-historical japanese-esque fantasy armors
-
Shik, call them Gundam armor.

They're not that far off. They're certainly more accurate than the long maul

On all but 1 of those pictures, nothing is drawn to proportion. Men are the size of houses and boats. On the other, the "pole hammer" is significantly smaller than what is done in game.
I'm not saying that you've done a bad job with the majority of the weapons in c-rpg, I'm just saying that you don't need to get it dead on historically accurate to make people happy. I personally think that the strange armors are close enough that only the most otaku of wee-a-boos will give a shit... and who has ever cared about what they think?

In what way are the current Japanese armor not accurate? I havent had a good chance to look at them since the retexture
