I'm looking for a new graphics card and want to know someone who plays with max graphics w/o ANY lag in busy play areas, just post what kind of graphics card you have and how well it runs, would really appreciate it  :D

whatever you do, do not buy anything ATI.  they have far more issues per game than comparable Nvidia cards.  Not to mention ATi is owned by AMD which is/has been on the verge of bankruptcy for years, intel & nvidia are wiping the floor with them.

Good companies that sell Nvidia cards

Asus & XFX

Warband does run better on Geforce cards, rather than ATIs.

An old GTX 275 and it works great. No fps drops at all, on 1440x900 with all maxed. No fps drops, means FPS are not going under 60 fps ever. ( Have a good CPU though, that might be helping it a bit, idk )

Using a not so standard resolution, due to my old lcd-tv. But 1400x900 is ok... Looks fine to me at least :)

Pfft ATI are fine, I've used both nvidia and ATI and never had problems with either. I build my own computers too  :P

But any way I currently use a Asus EAH 5750. You won't have any trouble with that beast on most games around with max graphics, certainly not warband...but will pay around £100 for the privilage :P

congrats for you!  I've been building computers since 98 and also build machines for corporations & clients.  I deal with video shit on a daily basis and ATI is a headache and sometimes nightmarish on some systems (especially laptops).

AMD Radeon HD 6850 has been completely sufficent for full graphics even in large battles. If you want max corpses with physics however, get a good processor.
Bodies get really taxing when there's a lot of them.

Although Nvidia offers better support and drivers compared to Radeon, Radeon does have its fair-share of cheap GPU's that run well compared to Nvidia's expensive, but worthwhile counterpart. While at saying that I do have a Radeon 5970 and it works like a charm. For a good cheap video card I recommend Radeon 5770/Radeon 5870/5850.

If you have the money, and computer to support it.... I have no problems with any games on max settings even in 3d with my Zotec 480GTX (with good temps) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814500166&cm_re=480gtx-_-14-500-166-_-Product (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814500166&cm_re=480gtx-_-14-500-166-_-Product)

My 5870 was 360 Pounds when I bought it last year. How cheap is it now? Wasn't back then. (It's the vapour x edition though)
