Title: Horse Heirlooming?
Post by: Christo on June 18, 2011, 12:57:11 am
I'm just wondering, should I heirloom my Horse after my weapon gets full upgraded?

On the forums, I see a lot of hate directed towards unarmored horses, like the Arabian/Courser.

I'm using the Courser since.. last summer? And I always loved it, but now that it's in the spotlight, I'm a bit afraid it'll get hit by the Nerfbat.

What do you think, should I invest time in upgrading my Courser in this situation?

Thank you for the detailed, informative, useful answer.

Yes, it's a horse, but it's made out of paper.

I've been upgrading my courser recently. I've got a spirited courser now. I'd definitely say it's worth it. The extra manoeuvre on the courser makes a big difference. Whereas before that thing would not turn, it now give me a little bit more scope to fight anyone turning in circles on an Arabian. Ignore the nerf cav threads, they are a small lobby group. I doubt it will actually turn into much in the long run.

Also if they nerf cav that bad, there will be a strong demand for heirloom resets...again. So you won't lose out.

Heirloomed courser is fun. I too have a spirited courser, and it's fast. Made of paper, yes, but fast. The HP boost is helpful, though.

I never understood people having turning problems on a Courser.

Just slow down, and add speed when you've done turning.

Trying to turn with full speed and you will turn slower, and in a bigger circle. It's common sense to lower speed,
so you can take turns faster.

With this technique you can annoy enemy cav, and ranged as well.

I'll think about upgrading my Courser, thanks for dropping in.

I know. I'm HA. I slow to turn my courser constantly, I'm just saying it was always a bit cumbersome before to do so. Now it does it far faster and can actually put up a decent show against Arabians. Fighting multiple lancers is not such an issue as I can weave through them a lot more easily. It's amazing what a difference 2 extra manoeuvre does.
