Title: Team switched ??
Post by: Lizard_man on June 17, 2011, 12:59:52 am
i'd like to know what exactly it is that determines who gets switched to the losing team, i pretty much get switched every single map at later levels whether i've got a good k/d ratio or not, you'd think the higher scorers would be switched but this doesn't seem to be the case, usually i'm switched to the losing team and 9 times out of 10 the team's still going to lose, i'd like to play with my clan mates and keep my multiplier for as long as possible of course, but this is hard to do when i'm constantly been switched, does it have something to do with your overall k/d ratio, i'm not really sure, it's obviously something i'm doing but it's getting really annoying...

AFAIK cmpxchg8b has sneaked a line in chadz code, that overrates everything and puts Merc_Lizard_man in high priority for team balancing.

It probably has something to do with :

- your level
- your kills and deaths
- the number of matches you won/lost this map (would make more sense than k/d)
- the total cost of your equipment

So being an high level horseman with good k/d will get you teamswitched. Olwen too complained about this.

it's probably a number of factors like you say, though it isn't the number of matches won/lost during the map as it tends to happen after the first match sometimes, then my gear on a whole is rather expensive aswell, i also have a positive k/d ratio, level would also make alot of sense, it's a bit of a shame really, oh well, cheers... :wink:

My experience with balancing is this;

first round is crap

Then team-balance switches people with good stats (overall, website kd etc.) to the former losing team and that team will most likely win the next round.
Many people diagree with this, but that's what i experience.

alot of people get switched after the first round, due to banner balance i imagine, which means the second round could go either way, depending on the map of course, after the second round it's usually one person to be switched to the losing team, 9 out of 10 times, the one person isn't going to make a difference, that person usually gets screwed and loses his/her multiplier... :cry:
