Title: New laptop

I bought a new laptop, and installed the game. What doI need to do concerning my character? Do I just recreat it or is there a special protocol I should follow?

Do you use Steam?
If yes, just install the game, download cRPG, create a new character with the same name and GENDER as your old char had, join a server and have phun. :wink:,
If not, no idea. :P

Well, forget it. I've done it anyway. Out of curiosity, how do you change the name and face of your char? I want my heirs to be different people.

Hit the "Edit" button in multi-player menu to change face/hairstyles. Its the same screen, as the one where you created your char.
You can only change the name by applying to a name-change from your "settings" button/section on the cRPG webpage. You will have to pay 1000 gold, and it is reserved for faction/clan tags, or spelling corrections.

Just to add to this; it's also been stated by an admin that full name changes are allowed up to one hour after retiring your character.

Just press the edit botton, you can change everything exept the name or gender.

Just an FYI for anyone else who needs to do this without Steam...

Your characters follow your Warband Serial key, so just install Warband on whatever PC or Laptop you plan to play on, install cRPG, and 'create' a character with the same exact name as the one(s) you play on your other PC.  You don't have to worry about fixing the face or anything since that's already saved on c-rpg.net.

Next, log into c-rpg.net, then in the cRPG mod log into your new (same) character that you played on your other PC and everything should be there soon as you enter your 1st battle.

I had to do this with a PC / Laptop combination so I know it works.

speaking of selecting gender, why can't my big burly black man wear his favorite dress?!? c-rpg descriminates against cross dressing!
