I just noticed that every 2 hand weapon (at least the ones i own) gets a speed bonus from heirlooming, but 2h blunt weapons like the mallet or the bar mace don`t. They only get the +3 damage when they are masterworked.
Is there a reason for this? I mean, the bar mace or the mallet aren`t op. Only a few players use them.
For example the MW Danish Greatsword gets a +2 on speed and +3 on damage. I see no reason why the MW 2h blunt weaps shouldn`t get at least +1 speed in masterwork status.

Or some extra +dmg if not +speed
-
They get weight instead of speed which helps with knockdown.

It's the same thing for 1h maces (at least, it's like this for the military hammer).
-
Ok, i see.
Didn`t noticed that.
Thx for the clarification.

also weight helps stun effect afaik
-
and also crushthrough
-
Yeah. Weight increase is a more powerful mechanic than a +1 or +2 to speed.
I think they have it made heirloom wise. [although I don't see why bar mace is unbalanced anymore since it does not have crushthrough anymore. It is uniform in weight distribution weapon wise.]

Yeah, it seems the weight increase of my bar mace from 4.5 to 4.8 makes quite a difference to knock down more often.
But i have another question:
Does more weight make the weapon slower ?

No, it makes you move slower, though.
