Title: Can someone please critique my agi build?
Post by: Shinvega on June 10, 2011, 11:47:49 pm
Level 31 (8 892 403 xp)

    Strength: 15
    Agility: 24
    Hit points: 60

    Skills to attributes: 6

    Ironflesh: 5
    Power Strike: 5
    Shield: 0
    Athletics: 8
    Riding: 0
    Horse Archery: 0
    Power Draw: 0
    Power Throw: 0
    Weapon Master: 8

    One Handed: 1
    Two Handed: 174
    Polearm: 1
    Archery: 1
    Crossbow: 1
    Throwing: 1

Weapon: Prolly gonna roll Katana or a Miao dao

Should this be pretty good or should I put a lil more strength into my build?

I know two pro 2her's that use this build very well. If your footwork is good and you can feint well enough, then most shielder's and spammers will die quickly.

That's not an agi build, THIS is an agi build
(click to show/hide)
Use this bitch with a long dagger and you'll be running down peasant, archers and shielders alike (just remember to KEEP ON RUNNING). Can also be used with a short sword but the wight will slow you down a bit. Could also be used with a quarterstaff (and wpf in polearm ofcourse) and you would be the best anti-melee-cav unit on the field. They would never hit you and you can stop their horses with your stab.

Awesome what about armor suggestions?

You want to be as light as possible. It's a decrease in at least wpf and speed when you go above 7 armour. Not quite sure if speed waits for the 7+ armour or if any armour weight slows you down, but  try to have as light as possible anyways. Not like it's gonna be much of a difference. Your defence is speed and your probably gonna get 1 hit by everything (barring peasants with knives).

But a sugestion. Leather gloves, blue/red gambeson, felt cap and rus shoes looks good and gives you some protection. The gambeson actually let's you survive an arrow or two if your lucky.

You might want to aim for lvl 30 rather than 31 (takes twice as long)

lvl 30

str:15
agi:24

converted skills-->atri: 8

IF:2
ps:5
ath:8
wm:8

and weapon prof should be around 173 in your choice (assuming you put it all in one)

you can still go for your old build once you reach 31 by converting the attribute point you get from 30-31 into 2 skill points.

Also this build isn't a strict agi build, in lighter armor you will be able to rush around the map very quickly, but in medium to heavy armour this build performs very well as a polearm or 2h build. 5 ps is still decent damage and the speed you get from your agi will make it easier to outmaneuver opponents.

You cant use this build with quarterstaff (7str req)

What is considered medium armor? Like a Brigandine?

A brigandine is one of the heavier medium armors, IMO, but still medium, yes.

Wrong.

Get this build if you want to be actually fast:

Level 30 (4 420 577 xp)

Strength: 9
Agility: 30
Hit points: 44
Skills to attributes: 8
Ironflesh: 0
Power Strike: 3
Shield: 0
Athletics: 10
Riding: 0
Horse Archery: 0
Power Draw: 0
Power Throw: 0
Weapon Master: 10
One Handed: 1
Two Handed: 190
Polearm: 1
Archery: 1
Crossbow: 1
Throwing: 1

Really nice with Katana or Spiked mace.

Or this, if you want to be freakin' fast:

Level 30 (4 420 577 xp)

Strength: 6
Agility: 33
Hit points: 41
Skills to attributes: 8
Ironflesh: 0
Power Strike: 2
Shield: 0
Athletics: 11
Riding: 0
Horse Archery: 0
Power Draw: 0
Power Throw: 0
Weapon Master: 10
One Handed: 190
Two Handed: 1
Polearm: 1
Archery: 1
Crossbow: 1
Throwing: 1

For me, works good with Yanmaodao. Well, I like agi characters, so I can be wrong, but if I remember correctly, I didn't bounce off a single time if I only rushed at enemy at full speed, which is quite easy to do with 11 athletics.

Both tested and work, I prefer the latter (11athletics + clothes = speed you have never dreamt about, especially on flat ground. <3

those specs actually seem pretty fun but how much dmg are you gonna be able to do with that low amount of Str?

At full speed? I don't know exact values, but with calculator we can say about 20dmg on average hit at full speed with Yanmaodao vs 40armor oponent.

Actually pretty much. Your gonna have a speed bonus o around +150-200%. I you have the long dagger and stab (pierce) or the staff (blunt) then armour wont do much against you. But i you use a cutting weapon like the katana/Yanmaodao then it might bounce a bit. Then again this is not a anti-tincan build (altough you can easily wear one down if you're dedicated and no one dissrupts you, because of your massive speed. If you want to go or tincans you should get the quarterstaff/shortsword since i they feint/chamber you WILL need that block. Altough chambering people with a dagger means you can hit them before they can do shit (since it's so fast)
