Post by: POOPHAMMER on June 10, 2011, 06:54:48 pm
You can have the best of a few worlds

You can use a longsword/morning star on horseback while packing a one slot xbow with bolts

or pack a 2 slot xbow with one stack of bolts and a langes messer

or whatever you want with the build, it is very adaptable

Har, that's not far off of my build.

I go for 6 riding and either 2 if or 2 shield(depending on my mood).

Also, for that build, i think Poles are better. But, i like my 2h weapons....

About same that I played in my last gen. Can go with heavy armour and slash from horseback, sometimes I used poles for 1-shot kills (you really dont need wpf for poles to do that from horseback) and mostly I just killed people with arbalest. I was 15-21 tho... worked very nicely and I could do about everything from melee to ranged and everything with horse from slashing to ha.

Well... All the hybrid builds need a very good situational awareness, to utilize all of the available skills/abilities, not to mention a good cRPG experience.

It is not a good beginner build for sure.

Personally, i would drop IF and some Athletics to get higher Agility, in order to reach 140 WPP in crossbow. You will not have enough gold to sustain medium/heavy armor, crossbow and a horse, so might as well stay on horse, and compensate lower athletics by using light armor :)

On the other hand, you are far better player then me, so i am sure you know what you are doing.

I used this build, worked just well.

    Strength: 15
    Agility: 21
    Hit points: 50

    Skills to attributes: 2

    Ironflesh: 0
    Power Strike: 5
    Shield: 0
    Athletics: 7
    Riding: 7
    Horse Archery: 3
    Power Draw: 0
    Power Throw: 0
    Weapon Master: 7

    One Handed: 1
    Two Handed: 110
    Polearm: 1
    Archery: 1
    Crossbow: 140
    Throwing: 1

Only problem is that you dont have enough time in one gen to do all these builds give possibility to :)
