Can a throwing lance be used with a shield?  :?

I believe so (though I do not personally know from experience), and would have to say that if my belief is correct, it is an excellent choice for a hoplite, used primarily to poke, to throw in extreme circumstances.

I've seen Multiple people in clan tournaments with shields throwing lances, so yes it's possible.
