I have an idea so that construction sites and barriers may be once again legalized! Make them completely vulnerable to blunt damage! That way barriers can still protect against archers, and it also gives players another reason to use blunt weapons.
Would make sense imo too, blunt damage being able to crush siege equipment, and that way it removes the problem of people using it to block ramps and walls and etc. The main reason why the equipment is banned is due to it being able to block passages, so we should make them brittle to melee dmg (blunt dmg) to be specific. Also seems like it can give certain players a "role" feeling in battle, such as anti-siege and such.
I really enjoyed siege equipment when it was all released, as it made battles dynamic, and feeling fresh everytime [ : I also think it added a little sauce to those maps where defender/attackers can run in circles and still win most of the time.
OR as suggested, Allow axes to have some trait like, "Bonus to siege equipment."

what you are saying does makes sense for balance, but how can a blunt hit destroy wooden barrier, and cut cant, but i think that can be ignored for sake of balance

Trying to think of it like armor, the sword does less breaking damage in this case because its pressure is all positioned on one unit of area, where as a mace does less pressure on one certain spot, and more damage to a larger area.
For instance, if you hit a plastic laundry hamper (I don't know why I picked laundry hamper) with a sword, it will cut a straight mark (fairly straight) through the hamper, and it will still stand. If you hit a laundry hamper with a mace, it will smash a huge chunk out of it.
You are correct though, that this isn't primarily what point I am trying to bring across with this topic, but hopefully it can sound "somewhat" plausible enough to be used.

So the main tool of a lumberjack was an hammer?

blunt may do more damage than cut, but it's not that cut doesn't do any damage and blunt does

Why not have axes destroy siege weapons (wood) faster, like it is in the real world....?

or tag the construction site with the person who dropped its name, so no matter what it builds (if anything) it will be SoandSo's construction site, SoandSo's Siege Tower, etc. This would also help those people who are helping the team be known to everyone.
not hard to put out a few ban warrants when its abused

If this is at all do-able, hell yes. Great idea.

Put in the axe part, whatever the case may be, I would just be really glad to see construction back in these maps. Getting kills is fun, but really feeling like you are aiding the team with construction stuff is very rewarding.

What does a lumberjack do? I could swear that lumberjacks practice woodcutting.
People want to use the tree so they have to cut it loose.
Using a hammer would destroy part the tree, making it a waste.
