Title: Main page messaging system. IE/Opera trouble

The messages don't display in IE9 (compatible mode kills the site even further actually)
Opera doesn't display them either. Which is the browser I use..
Cache clearing, relogging, whatever I do doesn't help. The messages just don't display.

Firefox worked I gues.. when I gave up on getting it to work in Opera and installed it.

Don't know if it's a known bug or not.
Couldn't discover any other topics anyway.
