As the title says, I'm looking for a good 2h/Xbow build.
-
Ehhh...
You do know that xbow takes 0 skill investment so infact you dont need a build unless your confused about what to pick as your melee build?
-
Agreed just put all your points in 2 handed weapons and carry around a MW xbow. You can't even use arb or heavy xbow cause of slots anyways.
-
What about Crossbow WPF?

What about Crossbow WPF?
You dont need WPF in xbows thats sorta pointless since you can use it just fine without. :?

Have you ever tried to shoot something with a 1 Wpf Crossbow? You goddamn diehard anti xbow lobbyist stop trolling the forums with your non-relevant shit please :)
Nevermind, go for Goraths, way better than mine.

Tzar is an x-bow hater with an anti-xbow agenda. Ignore him.
I highly recommend no less than 100 wpf in x-bow, though more is definately beneficial.
Currently my X-bow polearm hybrid is going to be as such:
Level 30
Strength: 18
Agility: 21
Hit points: 59
Skills to attributes: 8
Ironflesh: 3
Power Strike: 6
Athletics: 7
Weapon Master: 7
Polearm: 130
Crossbow: 120
This would work fine for 2h/xbow as well. I find with the investment of 120 x-bow wpf I can snipe quite well as long as I lead my target properly.
At 1 wpf your x-bow reticule will be huge and will only be good for short range shooting, medium range "sniping" (which really isn't sniping as it's medium range).
*Optionally you might be better served by going with 6 IF and only 4 in Athletics since it doesn't seem to do fuck all if you wear anything heavier than leather armor.*

A: Blind B: Stupid C: Trying to shoot people from across the map
Regardless of my hate towards Xbow / Hybrids im just trying to give this new ranged spammer a helpful advice and that is don't waste wpf points on xbow since by all means you should be more then able to hit people from medium to close range after a few rounds of getting used to the crosshair with 1 wpf in xbows.
The reticule at 1 wpf is more then enough once u gotten used to it...
Those 120 points is much better spent on you main weapon

If you are content firing randomly down a ramp/ladder on siege defense, low wpf in any ranged type (throwing/archery/xbow) is sufficient to get some lucky kills, but you aren't going to be sniping anyone from distance.
Xbow isn't unique in this respect; if you actually want to hit someone from far away, you need lots of wpf.
I wish Tzar would quit the xbow complaining; a good player can pick up any melee weapon that they only have 1 wpf in and still get kills. 1 wpf in xbows is sufficient to plink at close range and have a little fun, but it doesn't make you a deadly sniper like he makes it out.

My dedicated xbow build that I quite regularly get at or near the top of the scoreboard with:
15 str
27 agi
1 IF
9 ath
7 wpf
151 xbow
83 2hand
arbalest
spiked mace
light armor
I love this build. Unless I choose to let someone melee me, I only die by cav or sometimes ranged. The 151 and arbalest allow me to snipe from across the map and I can always get away to reload.
Also, try to shoot Tzar in the ass with a bolt if you ever see him on the battlefield

DING! WINNAR! AKA: Actually shooting at RANGE. Not shotgunning, which every ranged weapon can do with 1 wpf (barring the stupid artificial "You can't use this due to low wpf" messages/mechanics). My archer was just as capable of shotgunning at close range as an x-bowman is with 1 wpf. This isn't the same thing as actually using your ranged weapon like a ranged weapon.
hit people from medium (maybe) to close range
The reticule at 1 wpf is more then enough once u gotten used to it...
Sure, if the ONLY thing you plan to do is shotgun. Again though, you can shotgun with anything. Just like you can rape face with 1 wpf in any melee weapon too, and easier than with a ranged weapon.
If you actually plan to snipe and I dunno, PLAY RANGED then you will want a solid investment in wpf in order to actually hit people from range and more so if you plan on sniping (the most challenging method of ranged play given the slow projectile speeds and arc drops)

edit: nvm i found out why.
