Title: [FREEZE] total pc stop

is it only me? it seems to happen more often than ever, but just for MB/cRPG, afaiac; not fo3, twme2, twemp, arma2 or CIV... you name it; and i played MB/Vanilla on a regular base with no problems;
currently it freezes 90% 1st gaming session; the second (after reset) did run for hours then.

windows xp pro sp autoupdate
e6850 3.0/gtx 460
i check for new drivers, updates etc. on a regular interval, all is fine. it is a "gaming only" rig, so there's not much sw to interfere
nvidia monitoring apps are present
no entries in events

Heat? Check you're inside maybe its dusted. Though your board should innitiate a safety restart instead of freezing.

Lower graphics settings, too many people on screen + game engine not one of the best makes it use more then required.
